One thing I think could’ve been fun from the Mangaka would be if Mahito turned Nanami into a transfigured corpse, make Nanami fight Yuji and make him kill Nanami. Not sure if there’s maybe a reason that wouldn’t work, but I feel like that would’ve broken Yuji’s soul just that little bit more :)

2023-11-26 00:14:18 +0000 UTCI hated Mahito from the get-go and then after reading this part of the manga I absolutely loathed him. Knowing you hate him just as much and wish for his demise allows me a bit of joy whenever I have to see him.
