No it wasn't Clovis. The guy in the tank is Jeremiah "orange boy". He has been missing ever since the fight in Narita (That mountain base) and the world presumes he is dead. They even showed that he got written of as KIA after the battle. And there is a shot after the battle where you get to see him staggering and then collapsing infront of the car that "Fat guy" (I can't remember his name) was fleeing in, screaming "Zero". And so since then they have been doing experiments on him, replaced much of his body. And he is about to return to the show. Let's go Orange boy!
