Random late comment rolling in... The reason you don't hear "Zaban City" anywhere in that line is because of Japanese language's structure. The order in which things are laid out are different but obviously the captions are played in order for us to understand.. So he actually said "Zaban City" a few lines of text later.

2023-10-06 22:18:49 +0000 UTCI haven't seen the 1990s version of the show. I have seen a few clips of it though. I think some parts may be available to watch on YouTube, if they're still there. I'm not sure though. But anyways, from the scenes of the 90s version of I've seen I only have those to compare with. And I won't explain scenes, since this isn't the time to spoil the show. But the animation is definitely different, and I feel like the animation really fits the mood for what both versions are trying to achieve. Also have to mention the character designs are also different. I think I prefer the 2011 character designs. OST and ops and eds for 2011 HxH are amazing I think. Not sure about 90s HxH, I imagine they'd also be good. Also, have to mention, shows change over time. Animation/art/music of course, but was is and isn't shown also changes. But yeah, I don't think I have much interest personally to watch the whole 90s HxH anime, but I would consider reading the manga start to finish. Been getting into the manga, from where the show has left off in 2011 version. I think there are a couple scenes I personally like more from the 90s version that I've seen, but overall like the 2011 version more.

I just voiced my opinion so far comparing the two versions. And as I said, I haven't watched this version from the start so being able to see it with Joey will be a treat for me too.

But I haven't watched this version from the start so I'll enjoy it along side you :D . But so far I think the original hits harder, the way the first examiner walked in this one looks really goofy xD. It came of more mysterious and serious in the original one
