Usually in Japan, (therefore in anime), people are called by their last names unless you're really close friends. that's why most of them are addressed by their last name (so Fushiguro's name is actually Megumi, Fushiguro is the last name) Hope that makes sense.

Itโs very cutesy which goes against his serious character which is why the girls got flustered. That joke didnโt translate great lmao

Also japanese tends to be pronounced exactly how it looks with few deviations, like fushiguro has the same sound for U in both places even though in english that would be two different sounds.
