Dub will give you a better understanding of tone of voice and figures of speech since english is your first language (mine as well). I think Dub equals Sub in many shows in terms of emotion given, but Sub will absolutely outplay Dub in some critical moments. It's not something you'll know until you've heard both

And then once he switched over to dub he had a lot more fun with it. There's just certain animes that dub outdid the sub and this is one of them by far. I mean it's clear that sub is going to win the poll, but even though he put this poll up, I hope. Joey thinks it through and decides what's best for him because you mentioned Dub to anybody who is a sub purist and they're going to automatically go sub even if they know the dub is better

Comparison Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRejy-DgFWE Japanese Dub did a lot better for Gluttony, Priest, King Bradley, Lust, Scar, Alphonse, Hohenheim, Pride, Hughes, Kimblee. Just check out the quality (not the voice actor but the actual mixing itself) at 8:50 compared to 9:00. Kimblee's voice sounds so raspy and forced at 2:05. Many of the English dub version of these characters do not sound original. English Dub did a better version for Roy Mustang, Louis Armstrong, and Edward Elric. I don't mind female VA for the shonen-type character but the eng dub did feel more natural except for some screaming scenes. There are strengths and weaknesses in both version but you can see that the Japanese dub audio in terms audio mixing alone is just a LOT better than English dub. That is just the case for a lot of animes as they have far more budget to work with and are working with the anime production studio themselves. Some studios even redo animation based on a voice actor's performance. I'd say Eng Sub for this one. All of these shortcomings from english dub in animes make it really difficult to ignore the feeling that these are voice actors instead of characters. However, if this doesn't bother Joey, then he should watch what he thinks feels more natural for the show.

Sub watchers are die hard anime fans. I know so many anime fans and most of them are dub ONLY.. It just sucks because die hard fans of one, refuse to watch it in the other, so its a lose lose either way, and thats why I say it depends on the anime. The Older the anime, the better the dub is gonna be. for the most part. Code Geass, and Yu Yu Hakusho dubs are perfect.

2023-01-05 23:53:41 +0000 UTCI'd recommend dub. as it's one of the better dubs in anime also it makes the viewing experience soo much more enjoyable as it's in our OWN language lmao plus you and everyone watching can focus more on the reaction aspect of things. Anyone arguing for sub for this anime at least is simply wrong.
