April 2020 - Hidden Forest Realm - Tree Tower 1

Here it is folks!

The first Forest Realm terrain is now ready for download from this month's Google Drive folder.

There are two top versions -  one with and one without a treetop.
There are also three trunk versions - you've got a hollowed, semi-hollowed and solid version on the trunk.

I've included the estimated print times and filament usage for each of the trunk versions.
Please have a quick read of the PRINTING_NOTE.txt in the folder if you have any printing queries. Or just hit me up if you have questions. I will be setting the roof off to print tonight!

***EDIT***
I'm about 25% through the print and I forgot to adjust the infill amount from the default 5%, as set in FDG's Terrain profile. I would recommend that you increase this amount to maybe 15-20% to help give the columns added internal support. I need to wait to test print on my other printers as I am finishing printing ear protectors for my wife and her friend's hospitals.

I hope you like how it's turned out from the work in progress image!

Right, back to work, have a great weekend everyone!
Take care and stay safe! Happy printing!

I tried posting this when you first posted the WIP of this and were asking for feedback, but it seems like anything I try to post from the app disappears. My suggesting was to make the tree trunk and ramps modular rather than the whole thing being a fixed object. So basically, maybe a couple of bottom pieces that are just the roots of a tree, then a couple of pieces of trunk with the ramp. That way we would have a lot more options in terms of making a city that looks varied. The houses could be at different heights with some variety for how the trees look. I think it would also help with it being more of a "hidden city" rather than an obvious look-there's-ramps-going-up-those-trees-and-houses-on-top city. :D. And then if I recall correctly, you were going to create bridges to connect the buildings. If those were also modular, it could really make for an amazing city with lots of variety. For example, rope bridges, wood bridges, some covered in leaves, some clean, etc. I understand if it's a little late in the process now to make the change though. I still love these houses as they are!

Well, with the promenade/city wall, these towers and the tree scatter we can build a nice little elven town. Just a few things like a well and a plaza with a statue and we are complete
