Hey!
This week I was three days at the YouTube Space in Berlin. I thought I could write a small comment for Patreon about this, because I think it’s quite interesting to know that this exists.
YouTube has spaces around the world (https://www.youtube.com/yt/space/) where they offer free workshops and production spaces for creators.

On the first day there was a lawyer from Google who spoke about laws around copyright and advertising labels on YouTube and generally social media. For example as a german I even have to brand anything with „advertise“ when I’m just positive about a product - because I could only do it to get future deals. Basically germans should just brand averything as an „ad“ to be 100% safe from consumer rights organizations.

The other two days was a workshop called „Refine your craft“ where we learned more about cameras, lights, etc. But also how bigger film productions are organized and structured - lists, lists, lists.
I met a lot of different creators. Interestingly there was not a single teenager, only adults. And no gaming or beauty channels - one could get the impression that there is more to YouTube nowadays ;)
Anyway. I think it’s fascinating that this exists and that YouTube invests a lot of money into these places.
