[Salvos] 705. Overwhelmed (Removed for KU)

(Removed for KU)

Comments

For those wondering about Salvos updates, from my understanding from the discord Melas is gonna focus and wrap up on book 4 of Amelia then give Salvos some attention

Travis Brown

I don't remember exactly how divinity works, something like one has to attune oneself with reality or the world to obtain it. So the opposite of corruption, which destroys reality. It could be that he can't use divinity in his corrupted body parts or he did not use enough divinity to expell/remove the corruption. [Worldbreak] might have been an insta kill if he did not have divinity in his body. The skill sounds pretty strong afterall. Edit: i looked it up when salvos fights Avaritia she says you have to attune yourself to everything, to obtain divinity.

Tim

I for one expected [Worldbreak] to be a much quicker skill. But it is strong and low level. So lots of potential!

Dragonmaster_42

I just laughed my ass off because, you know, we are discussing someone punching above their weight class here. "If you can't kill someone 20+ levels above you without your trump cards, then what are you even doing?" That's the kind of expectation we are putting on Salvos. And amazingly, she keeps delivering. Any ordinary inhabitant of the Nexeus would have a tough time surviving much less dangerous situations. In any case, I definitely agree that she needs to level.

Dragonmaster_42

I don't think "not really corrupted" is a thing. Salvos is just the first (in the Nexeus at least) that is still in the driver's seat despite being corrupted. That said, Salvos' new class skills get the time to shine! And skill combinations!

Dragonmaster_42

Same here. If he managed to un-corrupt himself, why did everyone back in Sal's kingdom's days have so much trouble pushing it back? I think it's more likely he's about to die and pulls out all the stops to try and crush Salvos so her skills end and he can escape their effects. Not that the corruption works like that...

Dragonmaster_42

While I also didn't expect him to be this strong, I think it's justified given that he is a former primordial so many levels above Salvos. I'm not sure he really escaped the corruption. I'm not even sure how that would work...

Dragonmaster_42

I'm a bit confused. On the one hand, divine skills are blocked by corruption, on the other hand, divinity is effective. That might not necessarily be an inconsistency, but it's something I hope to be explained. Great chapter nevertheless!

Dragonmaster_42

His divine skill is way stronger than 3 clones' explosion with GS boost!!! I didn't expect him to be thay strong. Worldbreak lots of potential here. Perhaps to let the effect last longer/delay the escape, she should stack her time skill with it. I thought Claw of Corruption was going to be insta kill. Surprised his GS managed to heal the corruption dmg + let him escape her GS.

Gonvas

Ira went berserk not because of the pain but because of Salvos title skill related to Wrath.

Gonvas

That guy must be getting low on something, because that much regeneration must cost him mana, or whatever; those things are hardly ever free, or inexhaustible. Even Ira, who had the best regeneration skills, basically hurt like all hell and eventually went insane from the pain and rage. Sure, his GS seemed to have reset his health the way [My Flames...] does for Salvos, but I'm not sure it would be so easy to heal corruption, especially since he got really wrecked by it, to the point of Divine skills failing. I wonder what comes next. :)

Danijel Turina

Yeah, don't say it's over until you get the notification, and Belzu showed that even then you can be wrong.

Danijel Turina

She should stop saying „got you“ Everytime she does the enemy gets a power boost xD

Plateworm

I wonder whether his GS managed to fully un-corrupt him, because that would be really unlikely, especially for demon-something skill, and not like [Divinity Revealed] or something. I'd expect his regeneration to still be fried and damage to be ongoing.

Danijel Turina

So he does have Divine skills, but his Divinity feels way weaker than hers, which is good. Also, we know that she didn't *really* get corrupted. She still has the option of slowing down his personal time in order to negate part of his GS, and she also has corrupted draconic scales, corrupted draconic fury and what not, which is going to help when she gets really pissed off and starts ripping into him. And her [Flames...] GS might fizzle out soon, and then it's going to be healing of the corrupted vs. corrupted healing. I like it that she didn't just crunch him like a bug and that she has to really work for it because she got cocky from those 25 Primevals that were easy. Head in the game, girl.

Danijel Turina

Nice chapter, we finaly got to see [Worldbreak]

Angworu

Nah, she doesn't just need to win, she needs to exert herself beyond her limits in order to level up really hard, or she's going to get shredded against Regnorex and, presumably, Matriarch Centinel. Her level is below 170 and it needs to be 190. She needs to grind, and grind hard.

Danijel Turina

Now her [Flames...] GS needs to hold longer than his demon mode GS, basically. Claw of Corruption worked almost well enough, and Worldbreak worked well, and fortunately didn't do as much damage to the world as I thought it would, so that's good. She actually didn't really get angry enough to push her limits, so it's good the fight ain't over yet because she needs to really push her limits in order to level enough, and she so obviously needs those levels because when her one-strike, one-kill skills don't work, she's fucked. She needs more baseline raw power.

Danijel Turina

Hopefully corrupted regeneration can keep up with this, plus she still has one big move left :)

Zuuuuuri

Wow Worldbreak is absurd, if it doesn't kill you outright by disintegration it corrupts you so much that skills are outright broken and can't even be used. That skill is gonna go places 100%, it's just that ridiculous. Honestly thought that was it for Jofis and Salvos was gonna end him right there before he could pull out his big guns. She had him dead to rights, and I thought that the boss battle would shift to Manos instead.

Ihaxlikenoob

Wow, that's a hard bastard to kill, but she did crush him to the point of calling for mommy, that's good.

Danijel Turina

Sorry to hear that. Hope you feel better soon.

Lazy Monster

Sorry for the late chapter. I feel sick, and I got dumped last week.
