Bonus Content - Non-AoI Book Preview
Added 2023-12-11 22:22:26 +0000 UTCHere's a preview of another book I've been working on whenever I feel burnt out on working on AoI. It's a super-hero system story and is intended to subvert the "System Apocalypse" genre a bit. I've been trying to decide if I also want to make it a hero/magic school story.
Back when I started writing, I had a particular type of character I wanted to write but had a few ideas for storylines. I ended up writing all three stories with some shared concepts between the main characters, then when AoI ended up working out best I shelved the other projects with the intent of eventually revisiting them and changing the main character enough that there isn't too much overlap.
Infinity has changed along the way as well, but the other two books still need a lot more work before they are anywhere near ready to publish. I'm mostly showing off this prologue because unlike AoI a LOT of mechanics are given a high-level outline right at the beginning, and this story is (in my opinion) more solid than the others right now. I'll likely do something similar for the others as well once I've tidied them up a bit.
