I think this was really important. What makes this situation even worse is that these artists in these groups DO actually have raw talent. But bc the CEOS are in such a rush to make a Next Bts I feel like they’re debuting idols TOO EARLY.
Even Jimin was a little shaky at debut and his training period was one of the shortest in the industry, over time he stabled and is AMAZING. But these other CEOS are abandoning these groups before they stable and mature bc the mediaplay doesn’t work.

I am Korean. Her accent is strong, but it's a video based on facts, so you can trust her. And Kpop idols are working hard in their own way, and there are talented groups. I'm worried that the skills of kpop idols will be disparaged too much.. (Of course, it's different from BTS' level)
However, in the case of SM Entertainment, I can't help but mention it because it hurts BTS. Looking back on the history of Kpop, the most popular group of an era was always from SM. However, BTS, a former member of a small company, cut off the genealogy, and they must have hurt their pride a lot. BTS was once less popular than SM idols, so they don't appreciate the value of BTS.
SM even started manipulating some music awards in Korea in 2021.
SM's boy idol group, which has lower record sales and streaming than BTS, has begun to win the grand prize over BTS. Do you understand that 'butter' couldn't get on the grand prize?(*) 'Butter' was successful in both record sales and streaming in Korea. Many people should know that BTS, the most influential boy group in the world, is still suffering from this kind of damage..
(*BTS won awards at other awards ceremonies, so don't worry too much.)

DT you might want to check out another video that Mari (creator of this video) did, about BTS paving the path. I am a loyal Army and just have a hard time watching other KPOP groups boys or girls, Although I was into KPOP when I found BTS. I have gone back and watched the old videos I wondered what was that attracted me to them, sadly the groups I enjoyed all broke off to solo’s deaths or marriages. The brotherhood and genuine personalities infused with individual talents can’t be replicated by just putting together other favorite idols of former groups. Mari Said it All as well you concurring with it. I second all the truth said, there can never be another BTS. NO BUTS ABOUT IT!

Wow, this video was a real eye opener to me. I figured because of BTS's success there would be copycats (the music industry is notorious for doing that), but I didn't realize they would be so bad at it. You would think music execs would be more knowledgeable then what you have seen here. But obviously there are foolish men with some big EGOs in K-Pop & the music industry. It shows a real lack of respect the K-Pop industry has toward BTS and all the hard work they put into making themselves the group they became, which is legendary and phenomenal.

What a wonderful video… I have never watched any other K-pop including blackpink… I have this feeling I do not know how to say without sounding like an idiot.. 1st English song I listen is MJ beat it I was 7 years old since then the only English song I have listened until BTS 2019 is only MJ, then now BTS only I am interest in listening not any other artist, if I am listening anything new it’s from BTS covers then I try to check original see the different, but I end up listening to covers.. Am I disregarding other talents & limiting my experiences within MUSIC may be, do I care nope.. u know why BTS gives me everything… so I am not missing anything, BTS unstoppable & Unbeatable 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

TOTALLY AGREE, the music is important, I started following BTS because I heard one of their songs and I was captivated, from there I looked for the lyrics and in the end their looks

I think watching her channel will be great because you're a little out of the loop with info like this 😄 It's all true and it's not new to most armys. On twitter this all goes around and we know of it real time. Since you stay out of there, I think it would be great for you to watch her - she makes great, well-executed video essays on the topics that are going around on twitter. And i know you've sometimes had a hard time understanding why we should care about the mediaplay that goes on and has always been going on against bts, since the very beginning.

I feel bad for those groups under those big companies trying to compete against BTS, in Super M there are amazing performers and singers, personally I adore Taemin, he has an amazing solo career in Korea and I love his songs and music but he has nothing to do on that group...at the end like the girl in the video and you also said this is an EGO thing, is not about bringing something new and fresh to the table, some unique, all is about beat BTS and those CEO's at the end are not thinking about their groups well being but just about their pockets which is very sad....they'll keep failing also because you can not replicate the charisma BTS has, their uniqueness and unity as a group, I been into kpop for a while and I used to be fan of other groups prior BTS but as you also mentioned DT...once you hear BTS music you get used to certain level that none other group can match, the day other companies stop trying to been copycats of BTS formula and start to create their own path from zero just like should be and like BTS did MAYBE then they will start to create the next mega star but they just refuse to do so, they just wants to do it easily without 0 sacrifices and that is not how it works, anyway DT thank you for your thoughts and your open mind as usual, facts after facts the girl throw on this one, thanks again!

BTS is a group like no other. Their talent, sound, aesthetic, choreo and each member's personalities have come together in such a unique way to capture the attention of the world. Bang PD always had an overall vision and brilliant concept of healing through music; a universal theme that is timeless. He was a true mentor for the BTS members, especially Namjoon. That is a unique quality for a CEO. Bang also focused on developing this group so that each member could musically express their own individual talents through their mixtapes. Pure genius! Add in the amazing BigHit music production team (including BTS), the phenomenal storyline of the BU, their humanitarian efforts, shows like Bon Voyage & Run BTS, huge album promotions and VLives that helped Armys get to know the members more intimately, and it was a recipe for success. There was also something amazing about how the group came together that even the members are in awe of, like it was predestined. And let's not forget how hilarious the members are when they're all together. You cannot put them all in the same room without something funny happening lol! It's always pure crackhead chaos and Armys love it 💜
BTS is that group of a lifetime that has that Je ne sais quoi or IT factor that can't really be narrowed down or duplicated by a formula. It's amazing to think about considering how different all of the members' personalities and talents are. One thing is for sure, it all starts with the music. BTS' music keeps evolving and we never know what they'll do next. The pure diversity of their sounds allows people with varied music tastes from all generations all over the world to find something they like. There will never be another BTS and I feel so humbled and proud to follow them and that I am also part of Army. BTS found me during a really dark time in my life and helped me on a level that no individual person could. I've laughed and cried with the members and made Army friends all over the world. There is no way to replicate that. BTS will be loved for generations and remembered for so many positive things, especially their music.
Thanks for doing this reaction, DT. It inspired me to leave a big comment 😁 Borahae 💜

I can assure everything is accurate in this video with facts and actual sources. The editor is a serious person studying in economy and politic... Sometimes the truth hurt but those are truths, like it or not.. And every video created is a response to an actual context at that time, and what bothering ARMY is the way the industry both kpop and western treat BTS while they try to use or benefit from them and their name, at least recognize and support them... You can re-watch the video and check every headline, it's realy tiring... And yes YG's CEO really said they formed Blackpink because they are prettier than 2N1 which is disgusting toward 2N1, even CL revealed he used to attend their rehearses and call them ugly in front of all the staff, and I know you like Lisa but sorry its all visual and studio edit, coz we never saw her perform her rap or songs live without lipsyncing and its really disappointing, and both her songs and those of blackpink are a collage of samples (sometimes 3 or more in one song), flows, deliveries and sometimes even lyrics stolen from black artists without crediting or any creativity, even the critic reviews pointed that.. So where is the artistry? where is the legacy?... Those groups for most didn't fail in their own field, but in term of "being the next BTS" they did, because BTS's impact is indelebile, it's not only numbers, but a cultural, intellectual, creative, social and performing impacts... Like you said BTS's story is for the books, they changed the industry and opened the gate for more recognition for artists from all over the world.

All the kpop producers are focusing on 'making a successful group' but Bang's initial goal was to help a 16 year old little boy(RM) show his philosophy and his talent to the world.
Like this video said, producers are too impatient to wait enough for an artist to grow through many trials and errors.
I'm Korean and there are still a lot of Korean people who don't get why bts is this popular and doubt that there must be some tricks. Whenever I answer them that it was because of their 'sincerity', they all laugh at me and keep saying it's because of their marketing strategy. And not surprisingly, non of them ever listened to bts's album as a whole. Non of them know the fact that bts have consistantly released free music for more than a decade.
No matter what bts does, people try to analyze it from a capital perspective and fail to look at the essence.
And this kind of prejudice strengthens the bond between bts and army in result. I hope they realize that 'army' is not a single individual, but consisted of tens of millions of people who chose to support a talented team for their own reasons. It's their talent, sincerity, and personality that makes us want to support them deeply, not the business strategy.

So agree with this video and you as well, DT! People have to understand what the BTS members sacrificed and did to become who they are-they worked their butts off, and it took YEARS before they got the results and enormous following, but I feel the bottom line is/was that they are REAL and GENUINE, and also the fact that they are extremely talented individuals, who, when put all together, became a force unlike any other. I highly doubt that these newer K-Pop groups have been together since very young and have the bond, the brotherhood, that the BTS members have-they are family. Besides that, their ARMY is as loyal as they come BECAUSE they/we have followed them, know their story, know and appreciate how hard they've worked-not to mention they are writers and producers and have created music that is such superb quality-it tells their story based on truth and life experience, and it's just simply the best there is. The newer K-Pop groups seem to be made up of groups put together and basically "plopped down on a stage" with no history, no background-they are "manufactured," as opposed to being the real thing that got where they are simply due to ethics, extremely hard work and above all, passion. And as this video said, in the end, the bottom line is the seven members of BTS are so talented that as solo artists, they STILL are so exceptional that they would be hard to beat based on pure talent. We have seen it already in J-Hope and RM's solo projects, and JK is quickly proving that he himself is a worldwide talent, similar to the likes of Michael Jackson. They are all THAT good! As Suga said, there won't BE another BTS, and AMEN to that!

DT, you nailed it, I agree 100% that once I am hooked with BTS raw talents too much talents that they are out of this world and yet they are down to earth that they are so relatable. Not just talents of the group but as individual as well. Bang PD cannot even replicate BTS. When I watch any other group or artists I just appreciate them for what they offer but BTS just in my mind even as I am watching or listening to other artists I cannot help but signing sometimes. There will never The next BTS, they might be a next great group (I sure hope so for the next generation) but that is that. BTS forever even when they disband or retire one day.
