2022-07-23 22:26:46 +0000 UTCHey DT! Definitely this album felt like late 80s 90s hip-hop, with a little grunge thrown in, but also, he made it sound entirely new. He really is just a genius. I love the Wu-Tang Clan reference, because, not only was the ODB song a reference to his musical history and what he danced to, but also they were a great model for the way that BTS can move forward. They did their own thing, they did subunits, and then they came back together and worked together, and it was always WTC no matter what! Also, unless somebody has other information, the question about who was singing on save zone, it seems to be Hobi. He does use ㅈ for the z in zone during the rap, versus ㅅin the singing to soften it up, but I kept listening to it on headphones, and I think it’s Hobi. Add to that he said it’s only his voice, he attributed WTC members for the sample, it doesn’t make sense he would be telling less than the truth. Additionally with = sign, yes good catch! So there’s a couple of subcultural signals in the visuals as well as voiced. (And I think it’s very clear at this point that Hobi has studied and understands semiotics and is not accidentally using anything) However, I think it’s safe to say, for very good reasons, that’s not gonna be discussed until the military situation is resolved and completed one way or the other… Peace and I purple you my friend! When I first heard that piano intro from (Raw) produced by RZA of Wutang with the classic rapping of ODB and he gave RZA credit on the album. With this album, I KNEW Jhope was now a lifelong member of Hip Hop forever and nobody could take it from him. This whole album is fire and he deserves all the success in the world!!💜💜💜💜

You can see him in the background near the door at 6:45, (in your reaction) the only guy not wearing a suit or in formal clothing. 😂 I agree. The minute i heard equal sign i immediately fell in love with it. The sound, the meaning, his singing and beautiful vocals. We need more songs like this to bring positivity into the world and with this album, hobi is doing that! Safetyzone brings a lot of sadness and nostalgia into my heart. I can feel his sincerity in that song and jhope mentioned how it was his favourite track. Overall he did an amazing job and the production and quality in this album is incredible. I like that he included wu tang clan as he grew up dancing to their songs. My favourite tracks from this album would be safetyzone, equal sign, more and arson. 💜 Hearing these songs live will rock the house! Especially pandora's box, more and arson. No one is ready for when he steps out onto the stage.
