You did not answer the most important question. Are you Japanese? or better yet do you speak the language?

I watched those programs years ago. Jhope was leading and did most of the talking while answering the questions because he's extremely confident in speaking Japanese and was studying very hard during that time. Jimin did an amazing job as well but was clearly having a bit of a hard time. If you notice they have a Korean/Japanese translator sitting behind them the entire time in one of the shows translating what the Japanese hosts are saying to help both of them out. Hobi is the second best speaker when it comes to Japanese, his pronunciation is great. All of the boys work extremely hard at trying to speak different languages and i applaud that! Jimin CAN speak Japanese, so can the rest of bts, but to say they're fluent, that's not the case. Fluency is defined as being able to speak articulately, write, and think very quickly or easily in a given situation of the language. That's like saying they're fluent in english when they're not. Only namjoon is. But who really knows, i'm sure they've been practicing ever since and we'll never truly know unless someone asks them personally in 2022.

Jhope and Jimin were the only 2 members sent for a round of promos in Japan because they are the most comfortable speaking it. Are you Japanese?

Maybe in the foreign ears not familiar to Asian languages, Japanese and Korean would sound similar but they are totally different.
Much like when you hear Indonesians and Filipinos, they would sound similar but are super different :)

Yes they have Katakana, Hiragana and Kanji. Kanji being similar to the chinese characters which is also used by Korea in olden times hence why they also used it in their HYYH era.
The only similarities I think between the two languages are their sentence constructions and word placements.

DT that was not Japanese, that was Chinese that V and JHope and Jin were trying to asked how they were doing. Old Korea was under the control of China so although they have their characters or dialect alot of the influences were from China. V can sing in Chinese too, one of the Karoke song he sang in the Soop was in chinese.

the japanese language is different from korean. they have their own ''alphabet.'' not sure if they call it characters or alphabet. anyways, japanese has like 3 differet alphabet systems. also the pronunciation is very different.

Steve aoki attended their concert in las vegas on day 1! 😊 Tae wasn't apart of the dance line (originally consisting of jungkook, jimin and jhope) until 2018 with his intro singularity. Japanese has a little bit of similarities to korean but it's still a completely different language. Kind of like how spanish and french have a few similarities but are different. Not everyone in bts is fluent in Japanese. I know namjoon can speak it 100%, jhope does an amazing job so he's the second runner up. Everyone else is pretty stable but not fluent.
