My Mom is a plant person and I used to help her when she wanted floral arrangements. I love doing all the activities they are doing in this episode. I always felt if someone gave me something they did was much more personal and I really liked it (or a potted plant) alot!

actually it's not just dead skin, but more severe curse word. idk how to translate it but if i translate it literally, it's "dick-dead skin". 좆(jot) means dick/fuck, 밥(bob) means dead skin. basically "smegma" in medical terms. it's used to mean like dumb asshole, piece of shit and stuff. anyway it's really harsh slang so you should never say that in joke in korea lol.

As the name suggest, Korean's 'Birth Flower' is a flower unique to your birthday date. I think it is different than American's birth flower which is associated by month. Btw, the florist is a former idol trainee. Xceleste and Jose interviewed him on their podcast "Interlude Army".

The reason why they were laughing at Jimin's birth flower and Jimin was saying that they might not air it because In Korea, Jimin's birth flower “bridal wreath” is 조팝나무 (jopabnamu), but BTS heard 좆밥나무 (jojbabnamu). This roughly translates to “dead skin of a penis”. hahaha. Aww, Jiminie. 🤣

that florist has said in interviews later, that as a male florist in a traditionally female dominated career, he has to work very hard. but he is doing well on social media. usually young men wouldn't do these type of job. he said BigHit contacted him to work with a new boygroup, so he didn't even know he'd work with BTS. they just came to his flowershop on the day, blocked the door and windows with paper so people couldn't see in and thats when he learned he would work with BTS. he was extremly nervous, he had memorized all their birthflowers beforehand but as you see in the episode, he forgot the first one because of his nerves. He also said Jin came to him after shooting and apologized for goofing around and explained he wanted to make it funny for the viewers but he was worried he insulted the florist by not taking his craft seriously. which the florist obviously didn't even consider, but he got a very good impression of Jin and his manners. He also has said they all would ask him alot about his jobs and about flowers even outside of filming, that it didn't feel like they just came to film and be done,but like they actually geniunly care about flowers and plants.

The reason why the boys were laughing at jimin's birth flower is because the name for it sounds like a curse word/slang in korean. I've heard many people explain it to others but basically the flower's name is jopop but it sounds similar to jotbap which originally means "dead skin of.. a man's lower half" and is usually used to tease someone by calling them the weakest who can never beat anyone. Watching them make flower crowns, wreaths, and bouquets makes me want to try someday! It would be such a fun project to do with friends. 😊 It's a shame we don't have any places in my town for something like this. Tae's wreath was my favourite. It's gorgeous. 💜

So I am actually waiting on a call for a job at a florist. Wild timing. I can say bouquets are one of the most deceptively difficult things to make! You have to really be thoughtful about composition with all of the things they made, but bouquets involve gravity too. It's a real skill; Jungkook mentioned how hard it is to hold them all together. A couple more fun facts: you can blow on roses at their center to make them "bloom." You may also notice sometimes, fresh roses will have some dirty-looking petals on the outside—they're called guard petals and can actually be plucked away!
