Yess its way easier to use chopsticks than fork or more useful I should say because you can control it the way you want

what??

weird

We are so fortunate that Jungkook and Tae let us see their conversation. Its only natural for as people to grow, they grow apart, have different pathways even if they are still working together all the time. But to see them acknowledge that distance and are trying to connect back together is so sweet. We didn't need to be told, but they obviously wanted us to know. The sad this is all the people saying that's fake and scripted and lies, because it doesn't fit the version of their relationship they have made up

kookmineve

Please don't spread unconfirmed rumors, especially ones that have been proven false. Also, you're making a lot of assumptions. BH didn't plan their talk to address Tae's "issues". He and JK had grown apart and Tae took it upon himself to address it. Why can't people just accept the words that they actually say? I know why...because it doesn't fit the story they've created in their head. Toxic shippers are the worst part of this fandom. I had hoped that this conversation would finally shut up TK'ers but they remain delusional, accuse BH and TK of lying and being the best actors on the planet, all so they can continue with their delusions. The two people they claim to love they sure don't think very highly of. All FRIENDS go through these seasons of being distant and they are no different.

Penguin Love

I'm confused as to whether you're saying you're also of the belief that BH planned this to make the rumors go or that this was a sincere conversation about how they had grown apart. It's been quite obvious that they grew apart and it's a totally natural thing to happen. Those who think BH planned this are crazy. This was a very real, sincere conversation. I'm also not sure which rumors you're referring to. I had hoped that the toxic TK shippers would catch a clue finally when this aired but sadly they're just as delusional as they've always been. They must think Tae & JK deserve an Oscar for that performance. As I said, it was obvious that they had grown apart and I think when they all moved out on their own it required them to put more effort in to see and talk to each other outside of work. If both people aren't willing to do that then it doesn't happen. The fact that Tae had to ask Jimin to get JK to come in itself speaks volumes. I'm not sure why he didn't feel comfortable just asking JK to hangout, but he didn't. I'm happy they talked and seemed to be in a better place as of late.

Penguin Love

It’s ok to have your own thoughts about their dynamics but I really have never heard jk or tae describe each other this way. In festa profiles where they’d talked about each other and their relationships in their own words, interviews, etc. I think that’s why it’s a little confusing.

Bri

I'm sorry, but I didn't say anything to deserve your wrath Sherry. I trust BTS 1st before any other third party. I'm no teenager either with no common sense or delusion. Maybe what we feel and see is different but it doesn't make any of us less of an ARMY. I respect you and I expected the same from another ARMY. Plus this is not a place to argue. Be safe and have a good day!

Mickaëlle Rivière

This ep was really sweet, loved Tae and Jungkook's heart to heart and the silliness of Jin & Jimin wood cutting :D Also as someone who paints a lot (mainly with oil colours, but also acrylics sometimes) I absolutely love seeing each of their own techniques. And Jungkook's doing very well, especially since he said he isn't that familiar with this kind of painting. And I'm a bit in awe with Namjoon and his pointillism - it's not my favourite technique but his painting looks so good and reminds me too of Georges Seurat, just like Tae said. Like whoa. But as for favourite episodes, I'm pretty sure the next one is mine^^

Blau Beere

Good I found your comment. Was supposed to advise DT about this. It was used at their performance at the FNS Music Festival.. Sharing the link for DT - https://youtu.be/YW7JVCiDgJk

There was nothing abnormal or concerning about Taehyung and Jungkook’s conversation to me. Because it’s natural for relationships to change, especially if you’ve known each other since you were young/teenagers. Obviously, they’ve both matured and naturally their relationship/dynamic probably changed a little as well. It’s not a bad thing, and as army we’ve seen and witnessed how strong the bonds between the members are. Also, maybe it’s an age/respect/culture thing because they do mention how Jungkook chose to keep using honorifics/formal speech with the members even though they told him he can speak casually. In any older/younger relationship this causes at least SOME distance - it sets boundaries. J-hope even said once that even though he is very close to RM and they are the same age, there’s always at least 1% of distance which he thinks is a space he leaves to acknowledge and respect that RM is the leader.

Claire

^Yup! There’s many different types of kimbap depending on what you put into it! The ones my mom made for me growing up always had ham, spinach, carrots, fish cake, egg, pickled radish, and kimchi. I’ve also tried ones that have bulgogi (korean marinated beef) they’re REALLY good.

Claire

This episode was great. The Tae and Kook convo gets me in my feels. I felt so emotional. Coz haven't we all experienced this at some point in our life. People we were close to and then slowly grew apart, just because we grew up or changed. I am glad they took the initiative to talk though and tried to recapture some of the bond they had before. The hike and Vhope dancing were awesome. i love how the little Prince mural reminded Tae of Jimin immediately, me too Tae, me too. And I love my Jiminie, Our little Kendo Master <3 What a great episode overall

Jiminluver

I agree people should not speculate/analyze or diagnose anything about the boys. Also let's not spread unsubstantiated sasaeng created rumors of who was spotted where with who. It might seem like a small thing but they deserve their privacy and they deserve better than fans speculating or creating unverified news

Jiminluver

What a load of unsubstantiated bs you said. You'd rather trust rumors than what the boys themselves said. Yeah BTS deserve better than that

Jiminluver

First: I wish I had JK's talent. Second: The moment between Tae and JK was precious. Third: If I ever become lost in a forest where survival came into play, I hope that it is with JK😂. However, I think I enjoyed seeing Suga so lively at the woodcarving table the most. I love seeing his smile..

maknae Girl

That's the diff between sushi and kimbap. Sushi is with raw fish and kimbap is cooked ingredients like ham, beef, crabs sticks, tofu, fish cake , spinach etc

Jiminluver

Well said, also have you notice how they've been close like old times in all new content? that makes me so happy!

laura zane

the tae/ jk moment was very sweet also this was filmed almost half year ago and i have happily noticed that both of them have grown closer again. In all new content released (even today) jk and tae seems to be closer like old times so i am happy for them, i love their bond so much

laura zane

I'm not sure if anyone has commented this yet but the came Jin, Yoongi and Jimin were playing was Team Fight Tactics, you can also get the game on your phone and the game Taehyung was playing a couple episodes back was League of Legends, they are different versions of the same game, hope this helps :)

Sophie Smith

oh I had forgotten those drawings, they were hilarious!

Jez

exactly i don’t see the need to analyze it. it’s not really our place and it’s perfectly normal for friends to grow apart as you get older and start your own life.

onlyastarion

anyone thinks this is fake or bh planned it is weird. friends grow apart, it’s normal. especially when you’re grown men and don’t live together anymore.

onlyastarion

My favorite moment on weekends to watch BTS in the Soop with you, DT! My cheeaks hurt cause I was smiling the whole episode watching our guys and you! Thank you for these wornderful moments!

Jhope is the glue that holds bts together, the bridge between members, BTS' s second leader according to Namjoon and the others. Bang PD relies on him a lot too.

sugaisagenius

There are many beautiful mountains in Korea, since more than 70% of its land is mountains. No matter where you turn your eyes, you can find mountains. Also it is peninsula. There are many beautiful beaches as well. Hanwoo of Hanwoo burger is Korean beef. It is one of kind beef which is the most delicacy beef. It is very tender, buttery, and juicy. I learned about JHope through BTS in the Soop a lot that how diligent, sweet, helpful, wholesome, constructive, clean, and organized he is. I am very impressed by him.

Rainbow

This really hurts tho, the person u were once closest with turned to being awkward that u cant even personally ask them to have a talk.‬ To Be Honest the conversation that Jk and Tae had is so real and relatable cause its normal for friends to grow apart as you grow older but its nice that they finally have the chance to reconnect again. 🥺

Naima

This seems to rely on unconfirmed rumor and a reinterpretation of what was actually said by JK and V. I choose to take their clearly spoken words to heart. They used to be close and had grown apart somewhat...and both seem to regret that. Looked like a very nice step in the right direction to strengthen their friendship again. I think it’s that simple and do not see why people want to reinterpret what they clearly took the time to share with us.

Annette Brown

What kind of meat is used in a kimbap if it isnt raw fish?

MintChoco

Jk get his painting skill naturally from his father. His father and brother both are painters. I remembered how his older brother used to draw bts cartoons especially jin's funny moments and posted in his instagram 😂

Sophyminie

I love this episode and the last one too. About the JK/Tae moment, lots of different opinions exist: BH planning it to make the "rumors" go away, as what they are talking about is not really "accurate" (these 2 have been close since the beginning and even if Tae and Jimin are best friends , JK is still the one who is the most "think-alike" for Tae. Their mind functions differently and they know when the other is off.) Keep in mind this episode has been filmed AFTER Tae had written "Blue and Grey", as he played it in Ep.5, so it means he already addressed his darkest moment/burn out and is definitely in a healing process now. Maybe KTH1 will be dark as well but it is a healing process for those who can only express their feelings through writing. I agree that Tae is no longer the alien "quick silver" he used to be but the hardships and pandemic hit hard on them all, and Tae who is an old soul, dealt differently with it. He is soon 26 and has matured, he is calmer, and yet still has his singular sense of humor, he's still adorable (cue the "Maple story X BTS" 2nd episode !!) I think he had just lost his childlike spontaneity and innocence, even if he will remain one of the most sensible of the 7. He considers JK like his hyung because JK's mind works differently bordering on another spectrum. JK gets the job done no matter what and learns through the hardships of others, he doesn't really stop on his own issues, he overcomes them on his way by watching the others overcoming theirs. Jk in a way has more life maturity than Tae, They complement each other. In the Soop is my favorite series, I have watched it maybe 5 times already, my only regret is the number of cuts BH made that sometimes were not necessary, it leaves me with questions about chronology...but it's fine, we support them anyway !! Sorry for the very long post DT, and for my maybe not so good English, (Hi from France !!) and thank you for your posts here and on YT, they always make me smile !!

Mickaëlle Rivière

If you watched one of their performance.. They used BTS paintings as background...

purpleOT7

I thought it was incredibly sweet and vulnerable of Tae to take a special moment for him to spend some quality time with Jungkook (also cute how he asked jimin to ask/lure him haha). It shows that no matter how close you are with your friend, or how much time you spend together, you need moments such as this to further strengthen your bond. They met when they were still very young, and people change as they mature. Also, not all personalities are alike, e.g. some ppl are always sharing about their feelings/experiences as they are happening, some ppl need time to process and a bit of prodding to get them to start talking. From what I've seen, V and JK both appear to be the more internalising type, although I can't assume anything. The dynamic of your relationship with your childhood friend can change over time, and this is not a bad thing at all, rather a completely natural transition as both of you grow into adults. We only get to see snippets of their lives, but from what I've seen, I think BTS have a healthy relationship in that they seem to put in effort to build a stronger relationship with each other. One thing fans should be mindful of is that we shouldn't assume what they are feeling or thinking on behalf of them (e.g. reading too much into what they say), and that there are many layers to their emotions and personalities. Also what they share through their content and documentaries are also relevant to their feelings at that moment in time, we don't always know how their thoughts/emotions have evolved or are evolving over time. We should be cautious that we aren't limiting them to the words they spoke in their past. A long post, but I guess what I am saying really is- trust them, support them, don't make assumptions, I love bts they are precious. haha

bangtanhaja

My favorite episode too 😍

rissa descallar

My Korean is extremely limited but I knew enough to shout "Hajima!" when Jin started to chop the firewood with the ax!

'Gimbap' is actually like Japanese sushi but the Korean style. 'Gim/Kim' actually means seaweed and 'Bap' means rice. They will spread the rice evenly on a piece of seaweed. And in the Korean style, they usually add strips of egg, strip of pickled raddish, strip of spam or ham and then they roll it up. They will spread a little of the Korean Sesame Oil over the seaweed and sprinkle some white sesame on top for decor and presentation.

Joanne Magdalene

Also, in return, here is a treat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rQzo5Q6WD8. A fan made MV of "Life Goes On" making a story using the BU and BTS doc. Wow! The creator is a Korean director who really appreciates BTS (especially the BU). I hope you enjoy!

Queensthief

So excited to catch up on these. In the Soop is so soothing and even better sharing with everyone. Thank you!

Queensthief

Yes, DT, this one was one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing.🥰

Carlethia Street

Taehyung’s ‘serenade’ for Namjoon at the end is one of my favorite moments LOL. I’ve rewatched it so many times!! ALSO DT!! You blew my mind when you called kimbap a “korean burrito!” Because... that’s such a good comparison but I’ve never thought of it! People usually mistake it for sushi because of the seaweed. So I always tell people it’s similar to sushi but with no raw fish. But a burrito is a much better comparison I think. “It’s like a korean burrito but dried seaweed instead of a tortilla.” Gonna be using that one! Speaking of food- I’m curious if there is any good Korean food out in Seattle! There’s a lot over here in Maryland/Virginia because there’s a decent Korean population. Hard to get to lately though because of the pandemic, not many delivery options either. (And I’m too lazy to cook LOL). ANYWHO loved the video! Your videos always make my day. <3

Claire

even without these things they are still great friends though, nothing will take that away. JK and Taehyung will always be close friends

Hope

ep 7 and 8 are probably my favorites due to a few moments, though i have plenty in other eps. i just tend to gravitate towards eps that my bias is prevalent in lol.

onlyastarion

the parasite thing and manager thing isn’t true pls don’t spread rumors. parasite thing is just a rumor and from an unreliable source, manager thing is when all the members were there but the person only caught a picture of tae and jk. just saying, i don’t want mis-info spreading through the fandom.

onlyastarion

this episode is so beautiful definitely one of my favorites, many bonding moment for V and hobi with each other and with JK& RM. the convo at the beginning of the episode felt so personal, I'm grateful they choose to share this with us, V has been calmer and quieter at the beginning of the year and little before... to think he used all of these nights he spent with us on weverse to feel loved, it was us who felt loved, it was a running joke in the fandom that he is babysitting us so we won't go crazy. I'm glad he had good time during this trip, I was smiling like an idiot watching him dancing with hobi, that moment is just a serotonin booster. Imagine how close Tae and JK are to call their current interactions awkward when they are basically joined at hip in most of the interviews and things we see, it's good thing they're even closer now due to this heart to heart.

Hope

Armys should not worry about this. Jk and Tae are fine, they’ve always been. BTS usually tell us about their struggles after they’ve overcome it (like when they thought of disbandment or the real meaning behind Outro:Tear). Jk and V are friends, are fun together, hang out (were spotted being silly and giggly at a cafe with their manager short before this being filmed, went just the 2 to the movie theather to watch Parasite). With that being said, I think this convo has way more to do with some internal battles Tae has been facing. There’s been speculation about Tae’s mental health for years now and some people have crossed lines discussing it. It’s not our place as fans to tell how he feels, but recently he has shared on those docu-series that he felt a bit down and often wondered if he wanted to continue on this path. I think this is the way they found to adress the issue and let fans know he is ok, has a great support system and that changing and maturing is natural. Jk also struggled a lot a time ago, the boys said he shut down and not really talked to any of them about his feelings. They have this in common, tendency to keep to themselves. As they grow up and mature, they are learning to open up, all of the members actually, and that is great!

sugaisagenius

that taekook moment makes me cry every time i see it. its so cute. those 2 needed that moment. jk always talks about how Tae is the reason why he came out of his shell. if you watch pre debut bts or early bts you'll see that JK was the shyest baby ever. But Tae helped him so much with that. they call themselves partners in crime because they never fought and always were mischievous and got in trouble together. those 2 were glued at the hip. and here jk talks about how tae changed, its not a bad thing. fans always talk about how tae completely changed, that he isnt this goofy little kid anymore. but no he hasnt completely changed. he still has his crackhead moments but hes also a lot more mature and reserved now as he grows up. I think tae set this up so he can reassure jk that theyll always be partners in crime even if he isnt the exact same person he was years ago. plus those two do role reversal lol. jk may be the youngest but they often talk about how Tae sees jk as the hyung. so it was so cute seeing the little one have such wise words for the older one. im glad they had this moments, I think of all pairs they needed this the most

Juli

I agree. This is my fav episode too. A lot bonding and they are just free. They surely are best of friends. The love and care for each other is very close and tight. JK is very talented....golden maknae for sure. I hope that they will continue to hang out like this. I love watching them with no worries and just being themselves 💜💜💜
