What?? Can you ppl stop posting these types of comments about DT - I paid for this too. If he got the content free - why are you making a big deal about it. Free.....You can get it free yourself. If you have an issue take it out directly with DT. Stop, making the rest of the Patreons have to listen to your gripes.

My point is that it wasn’t done nicely. No need to call HIM odd. One could say his BEHAVIOR was odd. See the difference? I still don’t think we should have a say on what he spends he money on, HOWEVER if you think you’re not getting the SERVICE you were expecting or you can’t get him to respond to you, then that’s different. Not sure anyone of should dictate what kind of fan we expect any reactor to be. I’ve left many feeds as I felt their content didn’t fit my needs or they hardly posted or whatever. Thanks for the apology, I appreciate it. Some of us are not native English speakers and sometimes thing don’t come out like we mean. 💜

I’m sorry, I think you misunderstood me😂 I didn’t mean it in a rude way, I meant it as in if you have a different opinion, you can keep it. As in you can let it stay the way it is, I’m not trying to change the way you think. Maybe It’s cause I didn’t type my sentence properly. I just simply feel like we’re all consumers and we have a right to provide feedback and ask for clarifications. If you feel like DT is doing great, then that’s fine. But I don’t think it’s your place to shut the other consumers up, that’s it. I wasn’t telling you to keep your opinion away, I was telling you to accept that others feel a different way and that they have a right to speak up about it. If you don’t think the same way, then let’s just leave it as it is, we won’t get a result from a fight like this, I believe that’s not our intention as well

You’re doing it again. You’re subscribing what you want from him for the entire platform. I couldn’t care less if he buys the album or not. Or buys merch. It’s cute that you wax on about how everyone has their opinion and right to voice it then you tell me to keep mine? I guess because it doesn’t square with yours? Check your hypocrisy sweetie. Neither do you get to decide if a customer has the right to provide feedback and ask for clarification for a service they paid for. I’m not paying you, afterall, am I? Also I think it’s pretty understandable that Reaction videos aren’t the only thing we’re paying for. We’re also paying to a person that we deem as genuine. That’s a big factor amongst every reactor’s platform. Yes, people can simply unsubscribe if they’re dissatisfied, but as I’ve said they wanna clarify if DT is the kind of person they’d like to support. Therefore, people are waiting for a reply or change of action and they do have every right to ask for that as someone who pays for a service, and as an audience. If DT mentions that no, he wanna continue using free links provided for people who can’t afford the show although he clearly has more than enough earned from the same community, then that’s when people will probably start leaving. Then that’s their call too, not yours. As I’ve said, we’re all consumers and we all have a say, you’re not the only one who’s opinion matter. If you have a different opinion than us then that’s fine, you can keep it. But it’s probably not your place to tell others what they can or cannot ask for. Unless you wanna pay in place of everyone else :)

No, you don’t get to prescribe what being a fan is. No, you don’t get to tell him how to spend his money or his time. You’re paying him to react. Now if you don’t like how he reacts or the specific content, then fine. How he spends his time and money supporting or not supporting the guys isn’t what we’re paying for. I’ve been around a long time and I’ve never seen this kind of relentless negativity toward of other fans - it’s embarrassing. I suggest if this channel upset you so, leave.

Those aren’t rules ARMY set up, it’s literally things you naturally do when you’re a fan. If you’re a fan that can afford entertainment, you’ll naturally buy albums to support their sales or merch/content and so on because firstly you want to help achieve success, secondly you want the content. That’s the same as how guys who’re fans of marvel or soccer teams start buying jerseys, figurines or tickets to competitions. If you’re a fan that can’t afford monetary support, you’ll naturally try to support them by promoting the comeback or streaming, especially if you have a platform. Moreover his platform is made up of almost Armys alone. It’s something that comes natural, I repeat. If you have to force it, then you’re probably a casual listener, not really a fan or stan of someone. That’s not a definition we made by ourselves, it’s simple English. Fan is a pretty strong word to start with. DT, he promotes himself as a huge fan of BTS which is why he gained a huge platform btw, he screams when Jimin appears, he obviously presents himself as a die hard fan in front of his audience. I follow a lot of reactors and those who became fans of bts all naturally started supporting them, monetarily or not. Even recent ones who’ve came to know bts promoted their comeback on a much smaller platform than DT. This is why DT’s community started feeling the contradictions and wanted to clarify. They’re getting suspicious of the amount of genuinely he has when it comes to the way he presents himself. As people who paid to enter and stay in his platform, to get a certain content in return, they do have the right to question and clarify. Simple as that. I don’t get why you’re set on telling consumers to quiet down and take what they get. If you want me to put it very logically, Clarifying is also a process of service evaluation

SHERRY did you just make a broad and sweeping judgement about the education system in the US. Did you really just say we all live in our entitled bubbles? Now it’s your turn to look at a map and recognize we have 50 states. Each state has their own educational system so those in California will educated differently than say Florida. For example ethnic studies is required course here at the university level. Your comment was equally offensive.

2020-12-12 07:59:29 +0000 UTC
What you cited are requirements of what you believe he needs to do to support the guys. My experience with army is that the fandom sets up these rules that everyone must follow or you’re not a fan. It also has nothing to do with you paying him for content, It’s ridiculous.
And that 24 hour rule is nonsense. People have to watch 2-3 videos in between the original MV.
Jill L
2020-12-12 07:10:28 +0000 UTC
I totally get your point about how we’re voluntarily paying for a service and he can spend the money he get from us however he wants. Shooting reaction videos actually also takes a lot of effort. The problem here is, his whole platform is built on the concept that he’s a hard fan of BTS, that he genuinely supports them. Majority of ARMYs watches his videos because he’s a reactor that likes and supports BTS, that’s his attraction to his audience. However, people are starting to realize his actions and words aren’t matching, that’s the problem. He doesn’t buy albums, doesn’t support bts monetarily when he got most of these financial benefits from the audience that thought he will. If you don’t talk about the money factors, he also doesn’t encourage streaming during comebacks and posts his videos ASAP without waiting for 24 hours like a lot of other reactors. All these are contradictions, you get me? And people are starting to think his actions are odd, exactly because they’ve started to realize these contradictions. We’re not telling him how he should spend his money, we’re simply stating that his actions are adding up to form an odd picture. Not buying BV is simply a small symptom that people are catching on.

First, it’s rude to call someone odd. Leave the personal insult out of it. Second where to you get off telling how to spend his money? You pay him for a service. What service is he not providing? Is he obligated to spend his money on weverse? I provided services to clients for decades. They could tell me what they expected from the service but they couldn’t tell me where and how I bought supplies to provide said service. Do you go into a restaurant and tell the owner where to buy his eggs or meat? No you don’t. See how that works?
Jill L

DT is a big boy. He can handle it, and if he can't handle it then he probably shouldn't have a Patreon. People are free to leave comments as consumers. This isn't Twitter or Facebook. We are paying him for his services and have a right to ask questions and leave comments. It is not unreasonable to ask why he doesn't pay for these different BTS shows when he's making so much money off of the fandom of which many are also paying for those things. That's a perfectly reasonable question and it would be nice if he answered it. Supposedly people have DM'd and not gotten an answer and he hasn't addressed it publicly. It's good business to answer questions from your consumers.

You know this is the internet right? The internet has no country lol. and yes I am hanging around coz I have paid for a service and i will consume that service and leave my feedback. My issue same as some others here is that these free links are provided by army’s using their own resources for other army’s who can’t afford them so everyone can enjoy bts. Qdeoks has never once asked for anything in return for her generosity in providing these contents for free however reactors using her work without giving her any credit or any money and still making money from her work and not even supporting bts monetarily when they clearly can is just plain selfish, it’s mind boggling to me that y’all don’t find this odd.

It is very interesting how one comment is preachy, and the judgemental comment is ok. it all about perspective. It is also very interesting how folks can dissaproved yet instead of leaving and finding satisfaction elsewhere they hang around and tear down the work of others and bring hate. and this is Still a free country so far. comments in open forum warrant response or they would be private comments. Sorry if anyone was offended. Keep up the good work DT a free link would be acceptable if you were in your first week of reactions and could not afford it your true followers would waste no time making sure you had what you needed to react. I am sure the free link is still ok now . even tho your accountant has decided you can afford it.

I understand your time and place narrative, but a creator’s comment section is exactly the right place to provide feedbacks, raise concerns and state opinions. That’s exactly what the comment section is for. It is made for diverse opinions and feedbacks to be put on the table, it’s not one-sided praises just so people can see both sides of things. We’re not spreading hate, we’re simply questioning his actions and providing feedback for a change, there’s a difference. Also, as mentioned, many people raised these concerns to him whether it’s privately or publicly but we did not get a forward reply or clarification either way. As a creator if he truly cared for his community, he should’ve replied to his supporter’s concerns. Whether it’s giving us an explanation or simply changing his way of doing things from now to show that he’s genuine would’ve been good. But we’re seeing neither of that so far. He continued using free links that’s meant for people who can’t afford BV. That’s pretty concerning to me because his actions radiate a message “I don’t care”.

Nah Jill, it’s not rude to provide feedback and raise concerns as a viewer, as an audience and as a consumer. No matter which stance it is, I have a right to state my concerns as well as ask for a reason, I do not need of your approval for that. I’m not picking a fight with you, on the contrary, I’m very genuine about this. I’ve also spoken about it in a polite way. Lots of people have the same concerns as me and I believe many of them have already DMed him but got no reply. As you can see, I’m not the first to talk about this matter even in the comments, but he didn’t reply to any one of the comments and didn’t give any reasoning either. He continued to use QDEOKS free links even after seeing our comments. Also, I’d like to mention that having the same opinions over something doesn’t make it a “gang up” situation. If many people feel the same way, there’s a high possibility that something is wrong. Please don’t make people feel like speaking up is bullying

Many times people tend to believe that have the right to tell other how to run their financial business, when they don't. many people support reactors because we enjoy the content they provide and the perspective they bring. I don't think we have the right to determine how people spend their money. As a consumer we support what we like, when we don't like something we leave stop the support. I enjoy DT as a reactor, I love BTS! I don't equate DT love and respect for BTS with how much Bts product he purchases. Fandom support can be shown in many ways. And for all we know he could be sending a donation on their behalf to a charity every month. who is to say that because he used a free link that he is wrong GOOD GOD!

Reasons for making money from BTS content but not supporting them back? It’s not just abt these shows but also buying their music etc. There is no indication he is supporting them in any way monetarily when he can afford to. If you have 1500 patrons paying $5 each per month u can spend $20 on an album or bon voyage or a concert. What bugs me is these reactors use free links that are provided by army’s using their own money and resources, make money off of it but don’t give back to bts or the army community in any way. There’s a difference between saying “oh they eat with their hands a lot, I wonder why” and comparing people to animals. That’s just basic decency and respect. That person isn’t responsible for teaching him anything, especially not by continuing to pay him, but on the other hand withdrawing their support is a lesson in itself.

I've never thought of it until someone mentioned, but DT you're beginning to appear a tad bit odd to me. It started to strike me that you're earning a certain amount every month from this community but you're not purchasing the contents you're reacting to. If you changed your source this week I would've understood you, thinking that it's easy to overlook and forget that you can purchase Bon Voyage with all the free sources roaming around. But you didn't change and continued doing it your way without giving us a reason. Meaning you completely ignored the comments of your last video. That's sus. You're earning over $11,000 a month just from your Patreon and it's all coming from your viewers. You really should buy the series you're reacting to, there's no reason for you to watch the free versions of it.

Run is a variety show so of course the activities are planned beforehand, that's only natural? Despite the activities being planned out, their reactions and game development while carrying it out is authentic and unplanned. Bon Voyage on the other hand is a trip that requires a lot of bookings and scheduling beforehand, obviously they do have a list of where they're gonna go and which restaurants they're gonna dine at. It's the same as you traveling with a tour group, doesn't mean it's scripted. As for BTS in the soop, they literally got to choose what they wanna do every day, that's why we saw many spontaneous decisions such as sleeping past noon, someone skipping lunch as well as some of the members suddenly getting lazy and deciding to not do whatever they previously promised to do. Jimin on one of the later episodes also belatedly decided not to go boating in the river with Tae. I get what you mean about how they'd feel pressurized to a certain degree to make the show entertaining, but that's it. You're making their shows seem more scripted than they really are, when a lot of it are simply plannings or booking ahead of time. You know what's scripted? Scripted is creating certain specific situations for example if RM jumped into the river to get his boat on purpose and pretending that it's an accident, that's a script. Just like how RM said, he didn't wanna do any of that because he'd be pretending and it's not authentic. Except for hidden camera pranks, BTS seldom do any of those, I've never seen it before. What you're talking about are simply schedules or plans, it's not 'scripts'. You're misunderstanding a lot of what it means to script your show and you're bringing false perceptions to the table

Why is it responsibility of minorities/other cultures to teach grown adults about basic respect. No one expects a person to know everything, but there is a way to talk about it in a respectful and sensitive manner rather than calling others animals. I am sure you don’t need geography or cultural lessons to give basic respect to other human beings . This also reflects on the terrible education system in the US where no one is ever encouraged to look outside their entitled bubbles. Well I never said they didn't have fun, just pointed out some things about editing and scripting. Actually one of the best things about BTS is that they are able to truly enjoy themselves while working. All of their content is scripted to some extent (RUN, bon voyage and even their concerts. If you watch the hundreds of hours of behind the scenes for their concerts dvd's you'll see that even the moments where they interact with fans, do cute things and act more "crazy and carefree" are planned in advance to some extent. And they still have a blast). It's not a bad thing. They still are the most sincere idols and have amazing personalities, they are funny and close like a family, but they are also professional and aware of cameras.

Good to see you're catching some "odd" things about the show D.T. As much as I love seeing the boys relaxing, doing nothing or just eating, gaming...the editing and scripting for this is a little strange. BTS are used to staying up all night, they sometimes have schedules at 3 a.m. So it makes sense for them to go to bed super late and to sleep until noon. Then they spend a considerable amount of time cooking wich leaves a short period of time for activites until they start cooking again. Some people don't like me saying this but some of the activities they do might(emphasis on might) be just for the sake of a good shot. They sometimes sound worried about coming up with something to do 'cause they want the show to be entertaining for the viewers .
I also wouldn't trust the events are shown in the exact same order they happened. They maybe edit it to make us get a sense of a timeline since it all happens at one place (different from bon voayge where there's a variety of locations). RM said it's still work and I feel the boys are more aware of these cameras than they are on BON Voyage for example. The amount of times you can catch them checking the cameras if you pay attention...lol

Well... it's cultural, but at the same time it's not cultural. (I am a Korean living in Korea) I have always been told by my grandparents and parents not to make eating sound or not to open my mouth when eating or not to speak when there is food in my mouth. there are more strict etiquette in my family and maybe It was because my grandparents were an Yangban of ancient descent. Because of that, I don't like making sounds when I eat, but my friends do that when they eat ramen.
but my friends also learn the same manners from their families about sound. So I think... Koreans also have the same basic attitude about sound of eating but are not more strict about that etiquette than US.

In Korean culture, making slurping noises whilst eating noodles or drinking soup for example, are considered a sign that you are enjoying the meal and that the food is delicious. This is a cultural difference to Western culture for example. However I wouldn't say it's necessarily a cultural thing to eat with your mouth open, some people do it, some people don't. Historically, it's not part of the table etiquette especially for noblemen etc. and we wouldn't in a formal setting etc. but lots of people do eat loudly in a casual setting and maybe it's not as big of a deal as it is in western culture. Also, the mic will definitely emphasise the noise too. EDIT: I'm just gonna add that I'm cautious to posit an action as simply a "cultural" thing, because people vary so much, and even in korea there is a WIDE variance in culture. For e.g. your education, your values, the generation, the situation, where you live etc. will affect whether you eat loudly or not. Also note that there is an amalgamation of traditional Korean and foreign cultures within Korea, just like any other globally open countries. I think this goes for any culture that is foreign to yours. Differences may not only be attributed to cultural aspects, but rather personal. Also, 쩝쩝거리다 is a phrase that specifically describes making a smacking noise with your mouth. To say "oh that is a cultural thing", people might be mistaken that every Korean eats like this, whereas Koreans are categorising it into "eating whilst making noise" because that's not the "norm". xx

- nurungji - pronounced "noo roong gee" - traditionally, when making a pot of rice, you'd scoop out the soft rice to serve for the meal, but the rice on the outside edges against the pot would end up charred and crispy - once dried out and cooled, the leftover crunchy rice was taken out, tossed with sugar, and eaten as a crispy snack - it's become so popular, that people intentionally make nurungji to snack on - sometimes, it's only lightly crisped (like Tae is doing), still soft and chewy on the inside, to provide a contrast in texture
- prosciutto - it's a very expensive Italian ham - sold in paper thin slices, it does pair very well with melons - very salty, with a funky flavor that is reminiscent of a good cheese, and has a nutty flavor due to the pigs being allowed to feast on chestnuts in the last months of their lives
- mulhoe - pronounced "mool hweh" - literally translates to "water fish" - it's a raw fish dish with noodles and a spicy liquid brine-like sauce/"soup", topped with fresh julienned veggies and mixed together
- neoguri - pronounced "noh goo ree" - means "raccoon", which is the mascot of that brand of ramen - known as being especially spicy, which is why it's used to mix with other ramens (like jjappagetti - jjappagetti + neoguri = jjapaguri) to calm down the spice - "angry" neoguri does mean it's the spicy version - Jimin LOVES spicy food and usually opts for it when he can, while Tae can't handle spicy food well at all (another example of how the soul mates are polar opposites, which just makes them even more charming as a duo)
- hotteok - pronounced "hoe duk" - fried pancake type pastry filled with nuts and sugar and seeds - it's crispy and flakey on the outside, hot and chewy on the inside, and it's usually served in the winter at street stands, folded into paper cups (to protect your hands and clothes from the liquid insides gushing out) - they are also known for burning the hell out of your mouth due to the molten sugar, so beware when eating

Hi DT. I stumbled upon this yt video of RM in a variety show. Its old but very interesting. You might want to know how smart RM really is. There's a lot more of this show if you follow it. It gets more interesting when the game comes to Maths. I hope you'll find time to watch it. Thank you. https://youtu.be/t-KPHLBcifc

It is a cultural thing. That sound is really annoying to me and I notice so many Koreans do it, also in k dramas. So I asked about it and a lot of Koreans told me that’s just how they all eat. Eat with your mouth closed isn’t really a thing there like how it is in the US.

V was shocked to see the fish head (after Jin killed it). Coming from Hawaii, fish head is a delicacy here, especially the eyes, so fresh caught fish (or closest to fresh as possible) is great! It all depends on how its cooked - steamed, grilled, fried. Jin is preparing it poke (or sashimi) style with gochujang. Locals in Hawaii usually eat it Japanese style with soy sauce or straight, no sauce, wasabi optional. I know a lot of people refuse to eat fish with the head still on it - creeps them out.

It’s not a cultural thing, it’s the mic. You are bound to hear every lil sound they make in those things.

One of the books Suga reads is Almond by Won Pyung Sohn. It is a fantastic book! I highly recommend it. Here's an overview: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/52219386-almond
