I want western audiences to see bts opening and realize just how phenomenal bts are. I want them to watch the less exciting and amazing western acts afterwards and realize exactly why these 7 guys deserve wayyyyyy more than the scraps they’re being given at these award shows. I want these audiences to see the awards being given to western acts that didn’t have half the impact or level of artistry or performance bts did, and then have bts in the back of their minds thinking “I watched bts’ performance and it was more than any of these acts of the night.. how did they not win or even get nominated?” I’m definitely a hardcore bts army so I understand everyone wants that for their favorite artists and I’m definitely biased but I feel like so many people tune out before they see bts in the very last 5 minutes. The big awards have been announced, the interesting awards are over so a lot of people stop watching after that. If bts were to perform in the beginning armys would immediately tune out after it was over and award shows do notice when their viewer count tanks after bts leaves (for bbmas there was a livestream that went from 250k down to 18k after bts was done) anyways, it’s interesting to hear your opinion on the livestream 💜

2020-11-23 09:06:49 +0000 UTCThe AMA promoters did not mention BTS much in their promos, yet they closed the show...Enough said. I loved the LGO performance the most because, unlike the recording, you could clearly hear each member's solos. I was particularly happy to hear Jinnie because he is rarely highlighted in their songs. The casual performance approach was the best one. It felt like a recreation of the mv ending. I believe they actually performed in the Seoul Olympic Stadium for that performance as well as the mv. All of their voices work so well together in that performance. LGO is easily one of my all-time fav BTS songs now. 💜

2020-11-23 07:40:36 +0000 UTCI wish we could see bts in the beginning or middle of the award show for once.. award shows definitely use bts to keep a large number of people watching the entire show and inflate their numbers and I used to think it was an honor to close the shows.. but by the time 2-3 hours have gone by and all major awards have been given already it’s pretty much only armys waiting to see bts in the very last 5 minutes.. most people tune out after the major awards. I feel like it’s severely limiting their exposure to western audiences to have them perform last every single time.. I LOVED their performances as usual though and of course they delivered and did amazing even though dynamite’s time was cut basically cut in half 😅
