If you make money off of BTS the least you can do is at least buy the links legally. No one is asking him to make album collections!

Honestly, these type of comments annoy me. DT DOES NOT have to be told how to spend his money. Just like he can't tell us how to use ours. Not buying albums, or army bombs, or BTS content does not make you any less of a fan. People have priorities... BTS albums might not be one of them... and that's okay. Yes, he makes content about BTS and makes money off of it, but let the man be. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT HIS LIFE IS LIKE. You don't know... maybe he's saving up for a house, maybe he has to pay something off, maybe he just likes buying other stuff than BTS stuff... AND THAT'S OKAY... it does not mean he's not a fan. It just means that he uses his money differently... he might not be into the whole album collecting things or army bombs but he is into BTS. How would you feel if someone judged you on how you spend your money...? Let's stop judging too quickly and let people enjoy the content they came for. BTS is not about money... so let's not be about the money either... we have no right or say into how someone should use their money. So please... let's go back to all loving BTS in different ways.. and not let petty things like this take over.... spread love

I totally agree. Since he's making his living off of BTS now, he needs to actually start paying for BTS content.

I've been following DT for quite a long time, ever since he started his first BTS reaction. I love his reaction, but it seems like I'm not the only one who noticed that he still use a free link. No shame to that, but I just thought that with the amount of subsribers, he should at least be able to afford it. Even me myself bought all the BTS contents legally, since I want to support the boys, even though it wasn't much. I mean, they work so hard for the contents, so it should only right to appreciate it by doing that. I know that maybe some ARMY can't afford that, and that was okay. But as a reactor, I think it's a different story.

Everytime you record , edit and drop a reaction for BTS you support them and expose their work. You do not have to prove anything My Friend. Keep up the good work. those that respect what you bring to the table will keep tuning in and those that sit in judgement of you will unfortunately continue to do so. keep the reaction 100. Thank you!

Same. I’ve been his subscriber since the beginning. Bts is number right now on both hot 100 and 200. Real ARMYs let’s celebrate with our boys!

In the soop is about $30. He has hundreds of ARMY patreons here. I don’t see how he cannot afford it. His last poll showed the total votes are 1,927. I will do the math 1,927 x 5 =9,635. I don’t really understand how he cannot afford to buy a single bon voyage, In the Soop, or pre order an album/buy physical album. Buying the physical album especially preordering it is big deal. That is how ARMY can really show our support to bts’ hard work. Making them number one is what ARMY can do to reciprocate bts’ love for ARMY. I hope DT can at least a part of it.

I can understand the point about always using free links, but why does it mater if he promotes the album? Last comeback a lot of people told DT not to post a reaction within 24 hours of the release of the music video due to it distracting from the actual music video and preventing it to no getting ass many views as possible, so i imagen dt listened last time and posted it later.... or you know he was busy or had some other hindrance so he couldn't post it earlier.
and why does it matter if he does not buy the physical album? i don't have it ether a lot of people don't by them because it would just be to expensive to buy everything, and i'm pretty sure dt do hav a army bomb.
I'm sorry if this sounded harsh that is not my intention i just want to know why it seems to matter so much? i to use free links sometimes tho i try my best not to, but my economic situation doesn't always allow it and maybe it's the same for dt and we truly wont know if he does not want to tell us.

I've been thinking about this too, especially since I didn't notice DT promoting the new album - unlike a lot of the BTS-centric reactors. Not to mention avoiding posting reactions to LGO on the day of release. My concern got even more highlighted when I noticed some reactors that started later already having their ARMY bombs and opening albums - one doesn't even charge for his Patreon account because he said he got the links for free anyway.

Man, I cannot believe you still use free links to watch videos. :( I really like you , but I think you should start showing us that you actually buy bts contents. These are bts’s hard work. I hope you show more love and support to it. Thank you.

Tteokbokki does tend to be overly sweet to my taste as well. I don't know if it's that I had more of a tolerance as a child, or my memories are just off, but it was always my favorite food, but I do tend to find any that I don't make myself to be way too sweet. It's not the gochujang that is sweet (unless you get a pre-seasoned version), tteokbokki has sugar added to it. But if you make it yourself, you control the amount of sugar, so it's to your taste. It's not too difficult to make - I make it regularly at home. YouTube has a couple great channels for Korean food and cooking, Maangchi, and Aaron and Claire. They both have recipes for tteokbokki, if you're so inclined.
I feel honored to have been of help. To both of you, anyone, really. :D
I have several versions of tteokpokki that I make, depending on my mood, but a simple, lazy, easy version is to get a small ramen pot, layer the bottom with shredded cabbage, then some thinly sliced onion, then shredded or thin sliced carrot. Then chop up some green onion in whatever size you like and toss that into the pot. Add one or two minced garlic. Add a spoon of gochujang (the amount is based on your tolerance to spice) - I also add dried red pepper flakes because I like mine fiery (you wouldn't want to add more gochujang because it isn't just red pepper - it has salt and sugar in it as well - for spice, the pepper flakes are a better option so you avoid over-seasoning it and making it too rich). I use a pinch or two of sogogi dashida (similar to powdered beef bouillion), but if you don't have it, or don't want to use it, a bit of salt, or soy sauce, should do it. A small sprinkle of sugar. Top with rice cakes (traditional log shapes, or the tteokguk coin shapes, or even the cute ball shapes - or, if worst comes to worst, dry ramen noodles), add water until it JUST covers the rice cakes, put the pot over medium heat, cover, and let it do its thing. When it comes to a boil, give it a gentle stir - the cabbage and onion should wilt down and make it more liquidy. It's done when the rice cake is as soft as you'd like. Personally, I like to add fish cake or sausage to mine, but it is perfectly fine without any meat whatsoever, and makes an excellent vegetarian meal. If it's too spicy or you want to kick it up a step, top it with a slice or two of your favorite melty stringy cheese.

I would definitely recommend trying a vegetarian mandu-guk if you can find or make it, or tteok-guk with a vegetarian broth - tteok-guk is really nice and great comfort food, as are jeon! I'm not sure if you can find any fish-sauce free kimchi to buy, but if you were very committed you could follow a recipe to make it from scratch - it's great as a staple side dish or for kimchi fried rice :) Plain tteokbokki with sauce are also often vegetarian, though the version I've tried had a lot of gochujang which I personally find too sweet for my taste.

I wasn't the one who originally asked but I wanna thank you for those tips! You can't help but to be curious of the food that is often featured with bts especially since while I'm a bit familiar with japanese and chinese food not so much with korean, and i've come a cross the same trouble of most dishes having lots of meat - and since I'm not that into seafood either its a bit hard to find options. I've made japchae with tofu and it turned out very good but didn't know really where to go from these, so your tips have definitely helped a lot^^

Thank you! I'll have to look out in case I ever find a place that sells soondubu jjigae (it sounds good!) or if I ever make it to Korea. If I do I'd also really like to try some Korean-style pizzas, though they might not be so traditional - sweet potato sounds great since I love regular potato on pizza :D And deserts (I love sujjeongwa), but I can't live off sweets. I hadn't come across Emiltube before, so thanks for pointing me there! I'll definitely check some episodes out when I have time :)

Yeah, most people talk about fish cakes, but it occurred to me that I've never heard anyone actually explain what they were. They're just a white fish, pounded into a paste with some flour and seasonings, and then formed. They're bland, as I said, with the texture of hotdog meat.
As far as vegetarian/pescatarian friendly Korean food, I understand the struggle. As many veggies as Koreans eat, there is almost always that hint of animal product that bars it from those with dietary restrictions. Since you're fine with fish products, it does make things a lot easier as it's a major part of the Korean culinary journey. If you don't mind seafood, or spicy food, you might try soondubu jjigae (soft tofu stew). It comes in many varieties, including seafood and vegetarian. Bibimbap (mixed rice) can also be vegetarian friendly. The jeons are also of many varieties, most are actually vegetarian - pajeon, buchujeon, yachehjeon. If you stick with seafood dishes, you can avoid most meats/meat products - and there are a LOT of seafood dishes in Korea, seeing as it's a peninsula, and the only landborn border is with North Korea, so it's pretty much an island. I hope some of this helped. Please feel free to ask for more info. :)
Also, I'm not sure if you follow him on YouTube, but Emiltube has a cousin who is a vegetarian, and he has an entire series where he brings her over and they travel Korea, eating vegetarian friendly foods.

Thanks for another interesting comment 😊 I hadn't heard of kkambap or what fish cakes were actually like before. I think my favourite Korean food I've tried so far is a type of kimchi jeon (it was excellent 😆), apart from a vegetarian manduguk with tteok - I'm not sure exactly what that classified as... Korean cuisine is possibly the most foreign cuisine I've personally encountered after being used to a lot of other global cuisines, since I've found a lot of the flavours and textures very unexpected - especially how sweet some sauces are! Some things I've loved and others not so much 😂 So I'm very curious to try more things I may enjoy. Do you happen to know any other vegetarian or near-vegetarian Korean dishes you would recommend? (I know kimchi has small amounts of fish-sauce and I eat some fish too). A lot of the most popular dishes in Korea are DEFINITELY not vegetarian 😂

- kkambap - kkam = Korean for black, bap = Korean for rice - also known as nurungji, which is Korean for toasted rice - the idea is, when you make bokkeumbap (stir fried rice), like when they made kimchi fried rice, you spread it out across the pan in a thin layer and sprinkle over the top with cheese - the top gets gooey with cheese, the bottom gets lightly "burnt" and toasty, crispy, and is often the best bits of the dish, scraping it off the bottom of the pan
- pajeon - pa is Korean for green onion, jeon is Korean savory pancake - in this case, they went with buchu jeon with squid, buchu is Korean chives (Korean chives are the same size as American green onions, Korean green onions are the size of American leeks) - pajeon is a rainy weather type of food in Korea as the sound of the sizzle is reminiscent of the sound of pattering rainfall in a harmonious manner - since JK's last name is Jeon, Hobi made a point of saying to him "we're having jeon, Jeon Jungkook"
- when eating pajeon, the typical accompaniment is makgeolli, which is a Korean rice wine - it is fizzy and milky
- eomuk - Korean fish cake - it comes in a variety of shapes, flat and sliced into pieces to add to spicy rice cakes (tteokpokki) or, in the case of the soup they made, in meatball and sausage shapes (you'll also find these shapes skewered on sticks at street stalls on winter days for a quick hot snack - served up in a cup with some warm broth, perfect as a cold weather snack) - they don't taste too much of fish, but rather, a bit like a bland sausage, so it tends to be easy and comfortable to eat for all ages, and all nationalities (assuming they can get past the words "fish cake" - that usually scares some people ^^) - Jin's sugar gliders (who died some time back) were named Eomuk and Odeng, which are both Korean words for fish cake
- coffee truck - people in Korea like to hire food/coffee trucks for a day to send to different locations to show support - for example, Tae's actor friends were filming for their kdramas, and Tae sent trucks to their shoots to show his support, and they returned the favor by sending a truck in support of Tae at a fan meet

BTS are leaving the next episode due to work but they are coming back a couple of days later.
A boyfriend photo is just a style of photograph where the person looks like boyfriend material
The coffee truck is kind of a tradition in korea among actors and entertainers, its a way to say “good luck” or “congratulations” when shooting different things like moves and music videos. J-hope sent one to suga when he was shooting daechwita, Jin and V has also sent trucks to some actor friends.

Completely agree, eating together as family/friends is such a great time to bond and talk about things. I grew up with that being the norm, it was unheard of that we would eat dinner separately or not at the dinner table.
