It's a great way to get to know them better, they share a lot and answer questions from army, the group ones are fun too (one of my personal favs is with Jin and Jimin) they did a bunch of YouTube lives documenting their progress whilst working on the album also. About jimin wearing the mask, covid or not I've noticed it's pretty normal for them, wearing masks casually. Probs because of the high dust index in the country and because theyve gotten accustomed to it. Also this wasn't Yoongi's first surgery, I believe in 2014 (army correct me if I'm wrong) he had surgery for appendicitis.

They literally never give us anything about the album before it’s dropped so I didn’t expect him to say anything lol. I actually think they have been sharing so much more about this album beforehand than they have in the past. Showing us through livestreams the planning process is definitely new for them and exciting for us. You should watch the other album related YT livestreams.

It could be something simple like he didn't shave and doesn't feel comfortable showing it. Or he doesn't feel well that day and has a mask just in case? Maybe he has a cold sore. In the end, it's his choice. :)

Well, most of the time it's the boys reading fans comments, being cute and flirtatious with the camera (specially Jimin and V ). I'm not complaining, we get happy watching them doing nothing lol, but maybe if you're gonna watch some, you'll find more interesting the ones where there's more than one member as it usually is more dynamic. RM's lives that he usually does a few weeks after they release new albums are worth checking, he explains the creative process, talks a bit about each new song, it's fascinating.

2020-11-12 11:41:53 +0000 UTChmm don’t think about the mask too much, he probably just preferred to have it on. i don’t micro analyze him and try to find reasonings behind it. to be honest i didn’t even think twice about the mask/not seeing his face when i watched this live. he just wanted to wear it and that’s completely fine as he doesn’t owe us his face, let alone the livestream. we all know they’re working hard to finalize the album, prepare for the album promotions that’ll probably take a couple weeks, and at the same time, start working on the end of the year events. they’re working really hard, probably harder than he’s letting on. just being able to see him and knowing that he was thinking of us enough to want to come and say hi and share as much as he possibly could was very kind of him considering everything. even if he realized that maybe he didn’t have as much to say as he’d hoped. he’s still very cute and you can catch how big he was smiling even with the mask on. i know my general standpoint of not looking too deep into little things for the sake of their minimal privacy can come across as preachy and annoying, especially bc im aware that you know all this already and the mask comments were light hearted and you were obviously kidding, but it’s something for everyone to keep in mind :)

We got hints to all sort of things to do with the album. Even if we didn't realise. I suggest ARMYs watch the lives to get some background to BE.

Each member has a different role (pm stands for project manager) in this comeback for example JK’s role is to do with the music video and I think V’s role is to do with the concept photos. If you want to know more about the music video I would say you should watch the recent Jungkook YouTube livestream where he talked a lot about it.

2020-11-12 09:13:40 +0000 UTCAnother reason for the mask could also be, currently in Korea, it is mandatory to wear a mask in any communal place or enclosed communal areas (e.g. stations, elevators, cafes when not eating, offices) except for during certain activities (e.g. eating, washing your face, doing a broadcast etc). If not doing such things on the list you need to keep your mask on, esp when talking, or you can pay a fine. Their office could be following this restriction. The restriction changes depending on the level of safety and what the government says. Or since he didn't wear a mask last time and he was bare faced so maybe he just didn't feel like taking it off this time. Who knows. Anyway, it seems like jimin just wanted to pop in and say hey, and soon realised there's not much to update us on without spoiling things :). Hope he does another live soon

When he's on Vlive and does longer videos, ARMY will start asking him to take off the mask. That's usually when he'll admit why he's still wearing it. He said that he was just doing this during a break, so he intended it to be short and that may be why he chose to keep the mask on.

I could just tell while watching it that he has something weighing on his mind as well. You should watch his birthday live from Oct 20th on Vlive. He isn’t wearing his mask and he was being an absolute cutie the whole time and had a lot more energy to talk about other things. It was good to hear directly from Jimin that Yoongi is doing well, as I'm sure all the members are still communicating with him during his recovery. As others have mentioned, PM is Project Manager. From my understanding, each of the members has a specific role in helping with the development of each album, and they seem to be assigned these roles by the BigHit management team that oversees each album. Jimin first spoke about his assignment as PM & what it entailed in a livestream in the spring. It's the first time he's taken on this role. I remember watching him take notes about what the members' first ideas were for the new album in a meeting with just the 7 of them around the time of that livestream. I think that's where RM first talked about the theme of life goes on. It was fascinating to get a behind-the-scenes look at the members first discussing what they wanted the theme of the album to be. He did mention that he had just washed his hair. He probably had no make-up on. Jimin has mentioned in previous livestreams that he doesn't like to show his bare face. He may have put on the mask for that reason. Did anyone find it interesting that Jimin was a little cryptic when talking about taking care if himself, & then mentioning Yoongi's surgery again? It's well known that Chim Chim has some chronic pain issues from all of the energy he puts into his dances, as he has formal dance training, pours his heart into all of the dance choreos, and always stives for perfection. Was he possibly hinting that he's receiving some kind of medical treatment to help prevent him from needing possible surgery in the future? I hope I just read into things and that nothing serious is going on with him 🙏

Their youtube lives for this album have been mainly them filming without talking and purely working just to show progress. Their vlives are full of stories which i'm sure you'll enjoy.

To be fair the themes of this album are not a mystery as their discussion of album ideas was uploaded to YouTube and they've constantly talked about it in the lives over the year. edit: also if you want to know things about the album, you should watch (not necessarily react to) the YouTube lives (I'm going to assume you haven't by your response to some of what Jimin says).
