I appreciate you providing perspective. In the west (if we are new to Kpop and Korean culture) we only get to see the "firsts" so we have to educate ourselves about the Kpop artists who came before.

I really love all the BTS men - but every time Jimin shows up on the screen or I hear his voice something hits me in the “feels”; something different from what I feel for the other guys. Can’t describe it.

Hobi has said that the thought of him one day not introducing him as JHope makes him sad.. and I do worry that they have developed a bit of a codependency some more than others tho it will be interesting to see what happens when they all do finally decide to move out on their own... Buts it's also common in Korea to live with your parents until marriage so who knows they could have years left together before that happens

It was the first K-pop concert in that stadium and Thailand, so the stage was not prepared to handle the power and the energy of k-pop idols.
Where would be they at 40-50, maybe start working as producers, choreographers at BIG Hit and teaching the new generation what they learned or and this is a hopeful delulu dream of mine: They would open a high school or college of modern arts, dancing, singing, acting, etc.

They 'll be fine, but better than the 1st &2nd generation of KPOP. Even they were trained similar to other groups, but I think BIGHIT really show them life beyond Idols. Unlike other idols/groups, some have families, solo career or became druggies. It really get down to how they were bought up, how the companies treat them. So far, none of the boys show any big egos unlike some Idols from other groups.

"What next?" They'll be doing what they've already been doing since their debut (minus the choreography due to aging). They'll be writing and composing albums, doing their own variety shows, collaborating on songs with other singers, Suga will be producing for other artists (he's already produced songs for more than 5 artists), taking active management of their familiy businesses, managing the real estate they bought...BTS are set for life.

okay I am bit late to this conversation, but DT questioned the “what later?” few times, and I really wanted to say something. BTS has earned many titles with ‘FIRST’ in them- meaning that they achieved something no one has before. But these FIRST’s are mostly ‘FIRST’s in the global categories. It is funny and cheesy to say history of K-Pop (at least to me..), but in the history of Kpop, BTS is NOT the first pop/idol group, nor the first group of artists living under unique circumstances and bond to each other. Korea’s music industry has been cultivating these teen’s idols since late 90’s, and these groups of young boys and girls have been leading the Korean music industry since then. So in a timeline, BTS is categorized as 3rd Generation Kpop artist (debut around 2013-2018 and top the k-music charts consecutively in those years). So if you go back and date the first generation, those groups of boys and girls -at the time) debut around 1996-2004 and maintained their popularity ever since. They were trained in the same way as BTS, lived in dorms in early years (separated from their families), together 24/7 with their staffs and members, and carried massive fan bases. Wow.. I am getting tired of writing, so I am going to conclude. 1st generation kpop group members, (Shinhwa is a really good example, and very similar to BTS) are now 40-41 years old, and they are still active. Shinhwa holds a world record in Guinness, the longest running group, and had their latest tour in 2019. DT, don’t try to imagine.. it is already happening. Shinhwa members are married, and they have their own careers outside of the group, but they come together when fans call for them. I feel like BTS will be the same way. At minimum, they will be doing what 1st&2nd generation of Kppop groups are doing.

I would really recommend listening to 'the last' by agust d. It really puts what yoongi is feeling into perspective. He also talks about his social anxiety.

the reason yoongi is a bit scared of crowds is probaby because of his social anxiety. he's expressed it in songs before. however, when it comes to concerts and stuff like that, you can tell that he isn't so stressed out since performing for army is something he actually enjoys to do.

I always enjoy hearing the members think about their futures. This is something that they have been taught to think about during their time at BigHit in order to help them transition when the day finally comes that they will have to transition into a new life after all the stardom dies down & they are no longer on the top of the charts. Interestingly, BTS has become such a phenomenon that I really don't think they will ever be completely out of the spotlight unless they want to. They are singers, dancers, rappers, music producers, reality TV stars & total crackheads to boot. ARMY love that they have shared so much of their lives with the world. I'm certain that BTS will have a spot in the entertainment industry for a long time to come. They are not only ground breakers & trend setters, they are completely re-writing the playbook.

Hey DT, to give you a clear picture on their timeline. hehe. They ended their Love Yourself series in Bangkok on 7 April 2020 while preparing their comeback MAP OF THE SOUL : Persona album, which was release 12 April 2019 (p/s: I remembered they released Boy With Luv teaser MV after the Bangkok concert ended. The whole stadium screamed! ) . While promoting their MOTS Persona, they were practicing for their LOVE YOURSELF:SPEAKYOURSELF tour which started in May 2019. The giant leopard balloon that u see, was from their LY:SP concert during Dionysus. and of course, they used the same prop for their MMA 2019 performance which was held in November 2019 . Hope it gives you better view.

It scares me a lot seeing the boys followed by so many stalker fans. In Korea they call these people “sasaengs” and they’re really dangerous.. they’ll follow bts everywhere they go, take pictures of them, try to get into their hotel rooms and plants cameras or recording devices, sell the member’s private info to other crazy fans, like bts’ private cellphone numbers or where they live... Yoongi once said during a vlive that they have security teams that scan their hotel rooms for hidden recording devices and stuff.. when Jimin and hobi were out shopping and the driver told them they were being followed it just made me sick to my stomach seeing hobi look all pale and say it scares him. Tae mentioned in a vlive that it scares him cause sasaengs will find bts’ flight info when they don’t fly on private jets and get seats next to them, and jungkook has gotten calls while on vlive from sasaengs and he quickly hangs up and blocks the number and looks really annoyed and uncomfortable.. they rarely keep their blinds open and usually that’s the first thing you’ll see them do is close the blinds cause sasaengs will figure out their floor and room by watching for the members through the window. I think it was last year on Jimin’s bday he was doing a vlive and accidentally got a menu for the hotel they were staying at in frame and sasaengs figured out where they were staying by the logo and swarmed the hotel quickly.. there’s a dozen more stories, ones I’m sure we don’t even know about, and Bts understand it comes with the fame but it makes me upset seeing them swarmed and mobbed when they’re simply trying to buy something in the little spare time they have.

This episode was really interesting. Jimin and J hope scared of paparazzis, Jimin had to buy his ipad in a hurry because the store was getting crowded, poor guy. The scene with them at a fancy restaurant and they're just playing with napkins and commenting on how they sometimes feel out of place in some situations. It broke my heart Jin saying his friends have distanced from him, I'd imagine if your friend becames one of the biggest stars in the world is hard to mantain friendship. V in the recording studio, his voice is sooo good and he is so creative conveing his feelings of capturing moments through photography and making a song about it! Yoongi being one of the most honest idols out there, saying this job can be a love-hate kinda of thing! Jungkook explaining how they see each other as family and communicate even without words. RM being the wise man that he always is.

There is a video of Jimin in the Apple store in HK being surround by fans with cells phones. Don’t know if you caught the part when JM and J-HOPE arrive back to the hotel they have to keep the lights off so people watching from the outside can’t figure out what floor they’re on
