As for the Shadow Clone, up to this point that's on of the few techniques Naruto can do. He has to work with what he's more equipped to do. Decent episode and it's a B-.

I was hoping someone would have told you to skip the flashbacks in this episode, I think the next one too, there are certain episodes where half the damn episode is either flashbacks or fillers, there is a list online on which episodes are all cannon or mixed cannon/filler
