Then...I don't know what happened, we were dancing and he looked into my eyes with such warmth, which I watched slowly change to confusion. He squinted and said something about some fuzz on my nose, I reached up to brush it off, and...it was definitely there, and wasn't coming off. I tried to play it off and laid my head against his chest, but he tensed up and pushed me away...said there was something really wrong, and other people were staring too, so I ran off to the bathroom. Sure enough, in the mirror, my face was growing a snout, and getting all hairy...my ears were getting pointed and slowly sliding upwards too. I panicked, I didn't know what to do...I fished an old medical mask out of my purse and put it on and ran back out to ask him to take me home, he was my ride, see...but then everyone went quiet, everyone was staring at me, some kind of gasped and others started trying to get away. He took one horrified look at me and backed off into the crowd, didn't want anyone to know we were together.
