"What...eugh, what's all this...?" she murmured quietly in disgust. There was trash everywhere...she didn't remember falling asleep in a dirty alley filled with bottles and food wrappers. But then, she also didn't remember going to bed nude, or covered in tits, or having a long, fleshy tail extending from her rear. Everything stank...she watched as the nose at the end of her muzzle twitched, taking in her rank surroundings.
"I'm...I'm a rat," she stammered in disbelief. She ran her hands across her new body, feeling every strange sensation...a rat, nothing more than a depraved rat creature, nestled among the decaying garbage of the city she called home...
Part of her cried out in confusion, demanding an explanation and some way to fix this...but another part which was growing louder and more tangible by the minute told her to roll in the filth, to drink whatever was left in the beer cans and sniff out anything still stuck to the wrappers...to embrace what she'd become, without even properly mourning what had been lost.
