It's not that I'm not self-conscious -- I'm aware of how others perceive me, looking like this -- it's just that I can't bother to care about it anymore. It's liberating to just let go, and let others think of me what they will. That's their problem, not mine. I'm not going to shave all this off constantly just for others' approval, it grows back so quickly that it's not worth it. I'm more concerned with sopping up the constant flow from these big ol' puppies, now THAT'S a daily chore. Half the time it's a struggle just to reach anything around to the front. Sometimes I just lay on a towel on the floor while watching TV, and swap it out every hour. It's not quite the life I would've chosen for myself, but things could always be a lot worse..."
