An unfamiliar problem

However, she noted that you could choose almost any kind of animal you wanted, though of course it was recommended to be something small and helpful around the home. She wanted a ferret, she'd always thought they were cute and clever.
As she finished casting the spell, she could immediately tell something was wrong. There was a deep sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach, not just from her growing concern, but a developing sense of wrongness cascading across her body. The fur on the back of her hands told her how badly she'd miscalculated. "No, no no no nonono..." she pleaded fruitlessly, watching it spread across her form as her posture began to change. Her robes fell from her shoulders and pooled around her, now far too much fabric for her diminishing frame. "I'm shrinking!" she squealed, as if stating the obvious would make any difference...she pawed at her furry chest, the one part of her that DIDN'T seem to be shrinking yet. "O-ooohhhhh..." she groaned. "How am I s-supposed to fix this, how will anyone be able to tell I'm me?" She stared down at her still-glowing wand, as her miscast spell carried out its instructions to the letter...
