Draconic Greed
Added 2024-05-14 01:43:47 +0000 UTCWhen torrential rain hit the kingdom and began to flood everything, the princess's first priority wasn't the well-being of her people, the peasants who had lost their homes. No, her first instinct was to rush down to the castle treasury to make sure the chests and coffers were safe. Of course they hadn't escaped the flooding, but the gold would be fine...even so, she scooped up the coins, hoisting them to higher ground, greedily prioritizing her wealth over human lives. And so she began to turn, to adopt a form more befitting her actions.
As she continued to haul her treasure around, she found she could hold less and less of it in her arms with each trip...her chest was getting in the way, and she hissed with some annoyance. Realization didn't set in until she heard splashing behind her, and whirled angrily to confront the intruder, only to find no one...then noticed her scaly tail thrashing behind her.
