Devlog #1 - Progress Update
Added 2022-12-22 15:05:11 +0000 UTCHowdy everyone! Hope you guys are doing great! I’m just doing a little bit of a progress update, since it’s been awhile I’ve done one of these. It’s just been release after release on my Patreon feed.
As you all might see, I’ve been trying to hit a monthly release for Maidens of Power. It stresses me out, not being able to reach my target for the month. I might change this update schedule for the better, as it affects the quality of each release.
That’s what I’m trying to do on version 0.4, to release it when it’s ready. I’m actually writing down the script now, instead of rendering the scenes first! A first for me! I’ve been relying on my imagination since the first release, rendering and moving the characters based on my vision, and adding the dialogue after.
It’s messy. But hopefully, this next release should be different. Better. And if it all goes well, much bigger in content. (Main story updates + new maiden!)
I know I’ve been putting the main story off for a bit, as I was working on the side girls, and how they connect with the main story. But I should really get back to the Maidens, they’re the main focus of this game. And a lot of people have been saying that my game is short. *insert sad pepe*
Also… I’m probably shooting myself on the foot with the whole free roam thing. It adds so much code that I have to maintain every update. But I promise, it’ll help in the long run. (Is what I say to make me sleep well at night)
