Windows NT/ppc was a childhood dream. I bought two IBM RS/6000s in an attempt to run it, and as we saw the other night, and as we saw, I eventually succeeded. This?

I don't even know what to say. This is like wishing for a very rare car for sentimental reasons, and getting the deluxe coop model of it. There's only one or two PReP PowerPC boxes (namely the ones that can run OS/2 for PowerPC) that would top this on my wishlist.

Running Windows NT on this would require reflashing the BIOS, and I already have the RS/6000 Model 140 for that. AIX, well I've got the Model 150, so, this? This is going to run something special. Assuming it works (and after I got the HDDs dumped), I'm going to attempt to run Solaris for PowerPC on this.

I will note this runs a specific Motorola branded version of AIX, and I'm not certain if the disk I need has been dumped (I got a bunch of CDs with it, but not the correct Motorola AIX for PowerStack disc), so if I ever want to run AIX again. I'll need that. There are three HDDs, but one seems to have failed. I've managed to start Linux off a floppy, but I'm probably going to need to netboot this system. I've got some prep work to do, but look out for that stream coming soon!
