(NSFW) Good Boy

Finally did a properly rendered drawing of Vigil getting a nice treat www I've done a few sketches before this, but the Discord really got me to get a finished piece out.

Fun fact: this was the planned part 2 to the tent scene I drew ages ago, but I did not have it in me at the time to do another comic page after the first. 

But it was kinda important to me to get across that, especially at that point, Lucian really, really could not conceive of himself as anything but the one doing the caring and giving pleasure rather than receiving it. Don't get me started on his relationship with the idea of bottoming. I think I've said it before, but Lucian was exclusively a top basically until he slept with Raff. I wish I expressed this better, but Raffaele was genuinely the first person he felt comfortable ceding his personal feeling of control to. Whether Lucian really realizes it or not, he feels obligated to take the emotional labor for both he and Vigil. It comes from a desire to see Vigil happy and not burdened, but ends up with him feeling somewhat unable to actually be vulnerable in a way. It's something that is worked on in the future, but for now reflects itself in little ways. 

On the other side, Vigil has not had much experience with intimate relationships. He's had sexual relations before, but never a long-term, romantic and sexual one with anyone. To be fair, he tended to be a wolf more than a guy and even then, he was pretty preoccupied with his revenge plan. He's admittedly a bit of a lost puppy and while he's definitely very outwardly protective in the webcomic, he relies heavily on Lucian, not only as an emotional support, but like a part of his identity. Not saying it's good, but it's how it is at the moment, though it gets better with time and communication. Anyways, it means that his brain fritzes out when he's taken care of and treated with love and affection and Lucian has a stranglehold on his heart and his balls. He's more than happy in whatever position or situation with Lucian, but he admittedly does like being teased a lot. He cedes that control to Lucian because he just really, really loves and trusts him and he knows Lucian loves him just as much. Sometimes he worries Lucian doesn't trust him as much, whether it's with his body or his emotions. It's why the first time Lucian's bottoming, it's genuinely an insanely vulnerable act for him though there's a tinge of bittersweetness because the vibe that he's doing it as an apology for not being able to be more emotionally vulnerable is present in the backdrop. (god I want to make that a mini-comic so bad)

I wish I could have included sex in the story because so much depth I wanted to add got yoinked. I also sacrificed a lot for the sake of levity because I was too scared to be earnest myself haha. I'm also a little grateful because I don't know how well I would have handled it two years ago. I'm sure it would've been a fine scene, but maybe the nuances I think of now wouldn't be as present. I'm sure I'll think the same thing in two years LOL
