Monstober Day 6
Added 2020-10-07 06:33:47 +0000 UTCDid a lot for today! Or, well, yesterday. This time featuring my two favorite mind-bogglingly powerful monster bosses.
Faery King and Azelthorne despise each other, but in the way you can only really hate someone you respect and, to an extent, trust. I don't think I could say they have a particularly good relationship in any way. They're the strongest of all the monster bosses and I think because of that, they relate to each other. It feels exhilarating and terrifying knowing someone who could actually pose a threat to you. They like to fight and compete with each other in genuinely life threatening ways, though they do refrain from going too far most times for everyone else's sake
Both their relationships with Lucian have them being pretty restrained in consideration of him. Man's bones could be broken like twig by either of them so there's a level of cautious awareness when they interact. At the same time, he's got this knack for being a relatively emotionally stable guy who's often available which results in them being way more unguarded than they usually would be. Lucian is someone that both of them like to spoil in their own way so at some point if they're in the same room altogether it low key becomes a flex-off on who's arbitrarily better in some way. They very much rely on Lucian for validation in that matter.
It's all in good fun though and I think for Faery King and Az, it's refreshing to be able to act with a bit more rivalry and pettiness than they otherwise are like.
