I mean... true, at the time there wasn't much use for the mail because of email and such, but that's kind of changed though hasn't it with the explosion in home deliveries, amazon, and things like uber eats. Though I have to say, why Pidgey? like... even excluding Pokemon that weren't created yet from later generations that are better suited for this, why not train your Pidgey to evolve? like, wouldn't having at least a few fully evolved Pidgeot that are as tall as you be a good idea? They'd be a lot faster, carry more and wouldn't need to worry about being taken out by some random Fearow.
