Couldn't agree more on the voice acting! It's a big part of why I don't feel disdain for Kodachi, even though she's the type of character I typically get annoyed by. She's actually pretty okay!

2025-04-21 18:22:20 +0000 UTCThis is one of my favourite episodes so far from the Remake, the animation and choreography is just so pretty, and the colours are really vibrant, it just has such a fast frantic feel to the fight, which, in general is what I feel like a lot of adaptations of Rumiko's early series like Ranma and Urusei Yatsura should have. The fights and comedy in Ranma's manga do have kind of a quick high energy feel to them. Kodachi's voice in the sub is better in general honestly, I don't mind her dub voice, but she's meant to have a certain sort of obnoxious but fun rich girl sound to her, it's meant to be formal and a little aristocratic, the original dub for some reason decided to translate that into... Shakespearean for her and her brother. The voice acting in the remake is just top notch in general, I really can't wait for season 2.
