Gary really warmed up to me. Mostly just because he has an Umbreon, and Umbreon has been my favorite Pokemon ever since I first saw that goodest boy all those years ago.

2025-05-30 03:29:14 +0000 UTCTo be fair, Gary has slowly been going through a change becoming a more level headed and nice person each time we've seen him, his episodes are just that far spaced apart that it might be hard to fully notice, it fits with the character he's based on (Blue) from the games, starting off as a jerk but becoming a bit more of a competitive friendly rival later. The early anime doesn't really have ongoing storylines at this point yet, outside of a few small things obviously, but it's a little character development I like.
