I loved this episode, honestly the whole fight against Gomah is probably one of the best in Dragon ball, the animation at times is pretty much movie quality, and it's so fun and creative with how everyone fights. The original SSJ4 wasn't designed by Toriyama, Toriyama actually had basically no involvement with GT (he was a bit burnt out for a while after having wrote the manga weekly for over a decade), so it's cool to finally see his version of the form, and honestly, I prefer it, it keeps the same general feel, but the little changes help it a lot, the even longer hair and eye colour matching the fur instead of being black, the bigger thicker ape like arms, the just general monkey like feel of how he looks and moves now (he runs and leaps on all four limbs) it just works better, and calls back to the great ape and saiyans heritage. There's a reason Toriyama was known as a master designer, like, it's the same with his redesign of Broly, he's taken elements from the non-canon films and games and just improved them a lot with just simple changes.

Monkey Time is HERE!!! SUPER SAIYAN 4πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ Goku's transformation is a new modern take on Super Saiyan 4! I think the tail and overall look are a huge nod to GT, especially with what that form meant to us fans back then. It’s been a while, though, so I get why it might not have clicked right away for some people. I think only saw one video of GT on Spaz Boys and that was 8 years ago. We should definitely find time to fully watch Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT at some point. It would be fun to revisit all the crazy transformations and see how they hold up to modern Dragon Ball!
