2025-03-11 19:09:58 +0000 UTCHonestly I don't think any of the orange island gym leaders are particularly memorable as characters, they have some interesting challenges at times, but the gym leaders themselves design wise are a little bland, there's no unique gimmick or characteristics to them like in other regions (because they're not from the games so kind of filler, even if the pokemon anime just does its own thing), so they just end up being... just some background character looking guy/girl. It's my least favourite arc for a reason, but at least its short. We're nearing the end of orange islands, and we do have some good memorable moments of the arc coming up really soon, plus I think you'll be pretty happy with what's coming up after this arc, it'll be a nice course correction lol. Also yeah... Rudy is a tad... obnoxious
