STARK KIDS UNITE! - Game of Thrones 7x4-1

I definitely agree with you there, You can notice the writing it’s not quite as strong as it was throughout one through four seasons and it’s getting more and more noticeable but still enjoyable that’s how I would describe season 7 personally. It’s too much going on to keep you entertained, but you are noticing some things that are off.

When Bran told Baelish his own line of "Chaos is a ladder." I feel like that was Bran telling Baelish he knows he lied to him about the dagger. He told Ned and Catelyn that the dagger once belonged to Tyrion after he had won it from Baelish during a jousting tourney and yet here he says he has no idea who it belonged to. Joffrey was the one who hired the assassin(He heard Robert say killing Bran would be a kindness and in the books both Jaime and Tyrion speculate that Joffrey hired the assassin), but Baelish used the assassination attempt to further stoke the flames of hate between The Starks and Lannisters. It is possible but unconfirmed that Baelish may have been the legit owner of the dagger and helped facilitate the assassination, but while the show focuses more on Baelish, it was pretty much confirmed Joffrey hired the assassin. Meera gets done dirty by the writers. She lost her brother, killed a WW, kept Bran alive, and then she's just tossed aside... The writers gave as much of a damn about her character as Bran did her efforts to keep him alive. Meera: Bran! Bran: I'm not really. I'm an AI. That scene with Arya and the two Stark guards is a callback to when she went MIA at King's Landing in S1 after she overheard Illyrio and Varys talking about Eddard and Daenarys in the dungeons. She was scolded and antagonized by two City Watchmen who did not believe she was who she said she was. Dany should have said "I will fight for the North, I will help you defend it. And after it is done, bend the knee." Dany needs to drop the entitlement angle and EARN the loyalties of people. If The Northerners see Dany come flying north with dragons, Dothraki, and Unsullied to help them defend their homes against The Night King and then ASKS; not demands, their allegiance, then they'd be the biggest assholes to tell her no. If she proves she is willing to fight for them without the guarantee of their oaths of loyalty, then it speaks more to her as a ruler. That unlike Cersei or her predecessors, she actually cares about the people she aims to rule. This isn't a dig at the writing, because Dany does have an entitlement issue/ego about her and that is part of her character flaws. Dammit where is Tyrion or Varys when you need them? XD
