Yeah I can definetly agree with both of your points. As a light novel reader myself, the worst kind as we clearly stand above manga readers and anime onlys xD it can be kinda hard to accurately judge what is valuable to those lesser than ourselves :D Jokes aside, I think in many cases its just that people get really gitty when they get the opportunity to talk about the stuff they love and a consequence of that is that they share too much or the wrong information sometimes without even really thinking about it

I think there are 2 main issues that anime-only's have with manga readers: First, some manga readers can just be OBNOXIOUS with lording over anime-only's with their *superior knowledge of future events and plot threads* which, luckily, I don't think you've really been exposed to here at the Goosh. Second, there's usually a fine line between giving context that adds impact to an emotional payoff and giving context that detracts from it, which some people have a hard time keeping on the right side of. But that's just in my experience.
