Ya know watching this made me think about something very interesting (maybe not the best word but whatever) about Japanese television compared to American television. It's their willingness to mention/insinuate rape/Sexual Assault whichever your more comfortable with using as the phrase. Like I know there is American television that will go into that subject but from what I see in, American tv is a lot more hesitant when it comes to that subject than Japanese tv. I mean look at this episode, the slaver didn't just go "I know people who would love you." He full on said he wanted to chain Emelia up and sell her body to wealthy scumbags. He literally insinuated he was going to get paid to let some scumbag into a cage with her and do what they wanted with her. (he even mentioned he'd do the same with the villagers or other elf girls if Emelia refused.) Of course it should be mentioned that none of this twisted stuff actually happened but still the heavy mention of it in the episode. This is very taboo stuff that you wouldn't normally see in America unless it's actual porn. (the bad kind of porn.) It just reminds me that in Japan, they are not as hesitant to involve the stuff that is very taboo in America. The reason for this isn't something I personally want to get into, just that I find it interesting how different Japanese tv and American tv is to each other.
