I'm not doubting you, just taking what I got from the story over an interview after the fact.

2021-08-02 15:06:49 +0000 UTCNow another aspect of "Return By Death" has been revealed and another source of trauma for Subaru. Not only does he have to deal with dying over and over until he gets things right but now he has no way to tell anyone about his ability. Like in the scene with Ram and the dead Rem, Subaru couldn't tell them what he knew because that info was tied to his ability. He can't tell them that he's been killed with a curse about three times now and that might be what killed Rem. if he did then it would be a repeat of what happened when he tried to tell Emelia about it.

I know others corrected that for you in follow up comments but I wanted to have a full comment where you can see it easily just as a precaution. Also I wanted to post this on earlier episodes but my sleep schedule is a mess and I was going to bed like 30 mins before you post the episodes so I always missed the prime time of you reading comments, so I decided to wait till I was actually awake while you posted the episode. Also rem best girl 100% for me.

2021-08-02 13:06:22 +0000 UTCSo if im remembering correctly I think the author of re zero stated that even in the timeliness that Subaru dies it, they still continue themselves, so while it is noble of him and that he goes back in time and saves rem, the timeline where rem died still continues for those characters just excluding Subaru, so in the end ram still has to live with rem being dead in that timeline. Again if im remembering correctly, im pretty sure the author said that at one point but I could for all I know just be remembering that wrong and he never actually said that. Still a thought provoking thing to think about tho even if im not remembering correctly.

2021-08-02 12:49:53 +0000 UTCThere’s something people tend to miss about Ram that is sad because it really improves her character imo In the beginning of the episode it wasn’t Rem who killed Subaru it was Ram, to put him out of his misery, we know this because it was the same magic she was using later In The episode and rem saying “my sister is too kind”, a lot of people take that scene as rem just ending Subaru because shes too angry to even torture him but it was Ram being kind enough to put him down
