It's amazing how genuinely excited I was when Sanji found Luffy! Now I can't wait to see the actual reunion!

I wouldn't say toe to toe... I'd say he held his own there for a while. He was more badass than any of us expected though.

I honestly don't know what Bobbin(the guy who got shot)'s endgame was. If he hurts or kills Sanji, Big Mom's entire scheme goes up in flames and he would no doubt die. Whoever shot him likely spared him the pain either Sanji or Big Mom would put him through.

2021-07-26 13:37:32 +0000 UTCThis is why Luffy is one of the greatest; he went through hell for a long time, nearly shredded his arms in captivity, and starved himself to death while never breaking his promise to rescue Sanji with his joyful charm. I can’t think of any other fictional character like Luffy who would be willing to go such extreme lengths of being with his friends in their dark times. Hands down Luffy is one of the best well written characters.
