I feel like I was the only one not really cut up about Shion. Out of the 5 Ogres, she was the one that I don't really like. On a scale of -100 (hate) to 100 (love) she is about a -10. Kurobe, who has little to no screen time gets a 5 while the rest are much closer to 100, especially Shuna and Benimaru.

It's about this moment that the Falmuth soldiers should start hearing the DOOM music start, because there's some ripping and tearing that needs to be done. On an unrelated note, the teaser trailer for Chainsaw Man was released the other day, and I'm curious if Curtis has considered doing a reaction for it (or just watching it offscreen, either is good). It's being produced by Mappa (who also did AoT and Jujutsu Kaisen among many others) so the animation is top notch, and having read the manga I can say that you'll really like the series when it comes out. Especially best girl aka Power.

Then towards the end we saw a girl with pink pigtails and a familiar mode of dress. Also what a life Youm has led, starts out the leader of a bunch of condemned criminals sent by Falmuth to deal with the Orc Lord. Ends up getting promoted to Champion of humanity and Tempest's ambassador to mankind. Now he's going to be King of Falmuth the same kingdom that sent him to die. And he's getting a beautiful wizard for a wife on top of all that.

2021-06-30 18:24:43 +0000 UTCBeen waiting for this one ever since we started this show, i love the amazingly quick turnaround we had from wholesome teacher Rimuru to genocide Rimuru. On a slightly negative note, and this is where Curtis will heavily disagree with me, i wish there wasn't a way to bring everyone back to life. Its not an asspull and it in fact has quite a complicated process which makes it cool, but i do wish there were some extra consequences left behind after this arc. Regardless, we are now moving into the most cathartic episodes of this series and i cannot be more excited for them to arrive

Since it doesn't spoil anything for the 2nd half I it should be safe to add it to the end of your watch of season 2 part 1. Do you plan to watch the OVAs and Slime diaries too? Because they're all pretty good. Swim suit episode & more time with the kids in the OVAs. And Slime diaries gives you more of a look at what daily live was like in Tempest before season 2 got started.

Also, in that story there was a red haired Guy and a fairy girl. Was the fairy Ramiris in a human sized adult form? I think I know who the other is, but I don't want to give accidental spoilers for part 2.

2021-06-30 13:32:52 +0000 UTCThis season has the most cathartic feeling. Can't wait for Friday's episode. It was so interesting seeing all of the people commenting and reacting to this episode. Many either loved it for not fully killing off Shion, of hated it for bringing them back and calling it an asspull. Honestly, the amount of different things that had to line up just to have a 3.14 percent chance of success we difficult to begin with. I don't think of that as a McGuffin or an ass pull. The revival is super difficult and can only be pulled off once. This is not something that Rimuru can do multiple time. This was my 3rd favorite episode of the season because of how they showed Rimuru going through the stages of grief. Having lost people close to me I understand they blaming of yourself stage he went through a lot. I love how they handled the emotional tone of this episode.
