I get a lot of feelings of this being like the chimera episode from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, but in reverse. That episode started with hope and happiness and left you in despair. This one started sad and ended hopeful. Oh and ofc both being outstanding episodes that would have been great just by themselves, which is why I link them originally.

Their famous for their incredibly harsh training, (which no doubt informs his own curriculum) as well as their morale under fire. Honestly you couldn't ask for a better background for a mercenary.
