Honestly, that's the closest I've ever seen to Lunge having an emotional reaction. I very much got the feeling he wanted to see his daughter and his grandson. But he's so wrapped up in this investigation, that even when he thinks twice about blowing off a familial obligation. (Which is honestly amazing in itself, I don't know if he'd ever have done that back when we first met him). The investigation still comes first, I've said it before, but I pity him for what a sad and lonely existence his life is.
