Tenma has the means to kill Johan, .338 Lapua Magnum is used for two things, long-distance Sniper shots and big game hunting. Won't kill an Elephant, but it'll definitely give it something to think about. Honestly it's kind of overkill for a human target at such a close range. Now all Tenma needs is somewhere to actually set up a Sniper's nest, where he'll have a shot on Johan. Since he can't endanger the kids and the old man removed the forest as an option.
