WHAT ASSHOLE SHOT REIJU?! - One Piece #815

Comments

I was waiting the shoe to drop, but I forgot the Reiju getting shot happened first.

Big Mom went all "Hakai"* on that treasury door, huh? *The destruction ability Beerus and other Gods of Destruction use in Dragon Ball Super

Ranking says otherwise, but from my understanding from when this came out manga and anime I saw ppl complain that cause sanji beat up luffy using haki, plus the usual zoro would never and probably choose death then to disrespect their captain like that, kind off stuff

Curtis whoever told you Sanji’s recent actions made him lose popularity at this point, clearly doesn’t know what they are talking about. At this point like you said, we all know why Sanji’s got commitment to Pudding because he wants to save his crew and somewhat found a silver lining in this horrible situation. It’s like Sanji said to Pudding “You’re My Salvation.” This arc is about Sanji’s growth and his character story as a whole, majority of the fandom actually were approving of Sanji and Pudding being together at this point of the story. His popularity actually shot up because of the struggle he was facing and the relationship he was developing with Pudding.

I never doubted Big Mom's intimidation factor. That's why I thought it was so funny and on-character for Luffy when he haphazardly called her out.

I think the only people who disliked Sanji here are people who don't look beneath surface-level deeds. Sanji isn't a one-dimensional character, but a large part of the One Piece fandom want him to be (and at the same time don't want him to be, it's kinda weird). Among other things, they want him to be a fighter, like Zoro, and incessantly compare the two, even though it's been made very clear that Sanji's main role in the crew is NOT fighting, unlike Zoro. Sanji is perhaps the most deeply explored character among the Straw Hats, personality-wise. This is HIS arc, where he gets to shine. And part of that is making mistakes, reconciling them with himself, changing his mind, coping, etc. I'm not really explaining this well, I think, and there are a lot of videos out there that do so a lot better than I ever could (check out GrandLineReview on YouTube, for example, though beware of spoilers). Anyway, I think the writing of Sanji as a character in this arc is exceptional. I'mma stop rambling now... xD

Aeco

I was a bit suprised that he did'nt see right true it, with all his years of experience :P

Lad I know we've told you this for a while but no matter how someone may look in one piece, do not underestimate them. I can guarantee that you will be impressed with baron tamago. Also I'm glad you finally see how intimidating big mom can be. Believe us Brook won't have it easy. Oh and tomorrow oh my god tomorrow lad, you're going to be very disappointed and fooled.

Aidan

saturday Curtis will feel real pain and sorrow. A real punch in the dick if you will
