Something the anime doesn't make very clear is that the war Shizu was in was World War 2. She's a little older than she looks, which is an actual benefit of having a fire monster inside her.

Quick reminder, we talked about it on the stream but you mentioned whether you'd watch S2 depends on if its cut off or just on a hiatus like AOT. Can confirm its just on a hiatus, they just decided to do 1 arc of 12 episodes instead of a bigger season with 2 arcs. I also heavily recommend it, season 1 is great fun but season 2 is where shit gets absolutely real! Im so excited for the rest of this show
