2021-06-09 21:02:29 +0000 UTCI was just going to comment this. I mean the Goblins and the Orcs look more or less an evolved version of their original forms. The Ogres I don't bitch about as much. But the Lizardmen are definitely the straw that broke the camel's back for me. It makes absolutely no fucking sense, I get he's slowly building himself a harem, but not every female character he encounters has to be in it.

2021-06-09 18:54:04 +0000 UTCI will say, probably the only complaint i have about the show, is the constant turning of monsters into human forms. With Rimuru it makes sense, but i much preferred the Ogres designs before they evolved. I especially dislike the Lizardmen evolutions, Gabiru's looks really cool, but his sisters and followers turning into humans with wings makes no sense whatsoever, seems like just a lazy way to justify not having to draw monster designs consistently

2021-06-09 17:40:35 +0000 UTCI really like Milim and Gabiru in the series, they're pretty funny, they actually have a lot of great moments in the spin off series Slime Diaries, you'd be surprised how many spin offs this one series already has honestly, because the nation building is a big part of the series they have a few spin offs dedicated to seeing the ins and outs of the nation itself, I've not been able to read the main spin off "The Ways of the Monster Nation" yet though, cause it's set after the current ongoing manga arc, the series is originally a series of novels. also that bee holding a bucket you see when Rimuru was talking about honey is part of his nation, they show up in the spin off series.

Its actually something i feel this show has above Overlord, makes things more interesting when you know for a fact there is someone the MC can't mess with, at their current stage.
