This is it! My favorite part from my favorite fight of the series starts at about 15:00. There are many more great ones to come, but Ippo v Sendo II to me is the absolute peak. The music, the animation, the excitement! I don’t care how silly it sounds, this moment gives me the same feeling as when I watch fights like Frazier v Ali I-III and Hagler v Hearns. This is what it means to be a warrior, what it means to be a man, what it means to be alive! I could go on and on, but to sum it up in one great quote, “It’s enough to make a grown man cry...and that’s okay.”

2021-03-19 13:12:34 +0000 UTCInteresting point is that Ippo has indeed been knocked down a lot before, but never by Sendo until this point. That's why to Sendo he had that indomitable image to him. Sendo going crazy with his roar is still one of my fav moments of this fight. Sends chills. O,O
