They can make fun of her aesthetics all they want, but Tomiko is an EXCELLENT girlfriend!... And she's got a great rack! :-D

I absolutely love how tomiko, a character that was basically treated as a joke when she was first introduced as the girl that they guys wanted to avoid in the whole "bowling match date" episode, ended up being such a serious and important side character thats basically universally loved in the series. Honestly morikawa (the writer) has some serious balls to pull something like that off.

Granted, Ippo is still a doormat when it comes to getting his relationship off the ground so Kumi hasn't exactly had a lot of chances to show her stuff. Glad the author made Tomiko an actual character and not just the butt of jokes.
