Ippo's first strategy: increasing the speed of his rotations at the sacrifice of power, is probably his best bet. He should be able to slow the timing once he starts, letting him throw off Miyata's timing for a counter punch. If Miyata tries to throw a counter while Ippo is at a fast pace, then he might get countered in turn. If everyone is gunning for his Dempsey Roll, then he can develop feints and counters, as he knows when they plan to fully commit.
