2021-02-04 17:11:15 +0000 UTCThe corkscrew punch is an actual boxing technique, and its effective without being pinpoint accurate, although it isn't really a super weapon, just a move that can let you get past an opponents guard while also protecting your chin. I remember looking it up after first watching Hajime no Ippo.

Ippo, and Sendo are outliers in Featherweight for their power so it's nice that they aren't making each opponent just overall stronger than the last. It's technique and style differences as he goes forward. Ippo's power even caught Date off guard.
